Family-Friendly Cabin ~ 5 Mi to Dtwn New Bern

Nice and quiet

I loved every

We loved the cabin's decor and clean environment. It was also very quiet and provided for some restful evenings.

There were only two things that we didn't like...one is that the bathroom door (sliding door) was unhinged and so we were unable to close the door. Since it was us, it was no big deal, but if we had more folks, it would have needed to be fixed right away, and I am sure it would have been. We did inform the host and let him know that it was no big deal. The second thing is that there is a property (Private?) behind these beautiful cabins and one has to drive a bit of a driveway to get to the cabins. As you are driving into the property and look to your left toward the aforementioned property, there is a huge Confederate Flag flying on a tree that is visible. That was a little unsettling for us as BIPOC from NYC, but after the first night (we spent 5), we felt ok. This is not the cabin owner's fault and at the end of the day, it's a free country and that's their property. Still....I wouldn't go running around there on my own as I would normally do for exercise.
