Villa Citronella Boutique Hotel

Very nice stay, but there is no swimming pool :/ Helpful host, amazing location. My room was a bit smelly.

Quite a small cozy hotel however it does get loud at night from the rock club nearby so be warned. Also the description of the hotel having a pool is deceiving. This actual hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool. You can use a swimming pool but it’s at another hotel about a 10-15 minute walk away. Hence why I knocked down my rating.

Yes great value. Yes location for centre of the old town. Not easy with cases. Down side is clubs locally until 5am. Beware of services listed- that are truly are not at the hotel…. Room serviced once in 4 nights No pool - this is at another hotel with a pass not at this hotel Same for the private beach told passes needed and 10 min walk away No wardrobe room 4 or room 6- had to live out of a case and hang on the back of the door No fridge in room No poolside bar No private beach No bar No restaurant Breakfast is plated continental - plus eggs no choice served in an iron dish. 8:30-10:30 No minibar No tea coffee making in the room All above as listed as amenities force rooms. Dangerous lamp- room 4 cable hanging out.-tried to upload images but Agoda won’t let me- room 4 informed the owner response was - there is a knack !!!- as it flashes on- and off! Curtains with no stop ends and hanging off ** serious hazard of a broken plastic stair step edge hanging off- can’t upload images- ** hand rail not fixed- use 3 ropes!! *** there is a terrace- apparently- however a loft ladder to get to it!!! ** The owner told us to place cases under bed- to give more room- both beds full with mattress protectors A restaurant- club 100 yards away closes at 5am every night!- so noisy and had to use ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones. When asked for clean towels on day 4 a full debate at the bar with a scruffy man working on pj’s!!! Night person holding out the towels questioning that they were wet also the dirty shower mat looking at each towel!-at the bar .. then I was shown the towel cupboard to help myself. Our daughter’s room- room 6 smelt of raw drains ‘all the time’ and had to shower and use our bathroom and have her window wide open/ when we informed the owner- stated there was no smell at all when walked into the room. I personally could not walk into my daughters room without feeling sick! We asked to move rooms twice- Our room 4 which hardly had room to walk around our bed with cases. Curtain hanging off- no stops in place. Yes this is a cheap hotel/ but missold. The lady who serves plated breakfast and cleans the rooms working very hard is so lovely.
