The property is spacious, with comfortable beds, and a beautiful aspect with views of the sea and the mountains. But also close enough to walk into Georgioupolis. The pomegranate tree outside added a delightful touch. The pool was a little chilly but was fun. And the visiting goats and rousing rooster in the neighbouring property made us feel truly in the Cretan countryside. The host, George, was friendly and helpful.
The only downside was that the walk into Georgioupolis involved a road without pavement for a short stretch.

The villa is on the hillside with breath-taking views of Georgioupolis, the mountains and the sea. The walk into Georgioupolis is downhill and takes around 15 minutes. The walk back can be steep in places so we always chose to get a taxi back which costs around 5 Euros from the village’s main square. The evening we first arrived at the villa there was a full bowl of fresh fruit, several bottles of wine, a jar of honey, bottles of water plus other supplies, to greet us.
The villa itself is luxurious with air conditioning in both bedrooms and also in the lounge. Both the ground floor and the first floor have plenty of windows which give a light and airy feel to the living space. There are two single beds in each bedroom and two sofa beds in the open-plan lounge. Outside there are two large tables with enough chairs for 6/8 to sit around them comfortably. By the pool, there are 6 sun loungers, 3 small tables and 2 parasols and there are 2 more sun loungers available in the storage are. Most evenings we would get visitors in the form of a pair of goats and sometimes sheep feeding on the sweet grass on the terraces. If they were undisturbed they would have their fill and sometimes drink from the pool which added to the charm of the place and the enjoyment of our holiday.
The host visited almost daily to check the pool and make sure we were OK and some days he would bring coffee pods for the machine. He is friendly, caring and nothing is too much trouble, he is a fantastic host. A lady comes to clean the villa every three days and she again is kind, caring and efficient. All in all, we had a fantastic time at the villa and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

Prawie wszystko nam się podobało. Domek jest na uboczu, pomiędzy kurami, owcami i kotami. Prywatny basen jest 100 razy lepszy, niż basen w hotelu - ma około 15m^2, jest filtrowany i podświetlony w nocy. Nie brakowało nam prywatności, ani przestrzeni. Właściciele są bardzo mili i pomocni, co wcale nie znaczy, że w jakikolwiek sposób się narzucają. Jeśli będę się kiedyś wybierał się na Kretę, pewnie zatrzymam się w tym samym miejscu.
Trzeba wymienić kilka rzeczy. Od miasta i plaży odgradzała nas droga, którą trudno (i niebezpieczne) było przekraczać pieszo, więc używaliśmy samochodu. Niestety droga generowała też hałas, uciążliwy szczególnie wieczorami. Teren willi nie jest zamkniety, ale to problem tylko dla podróżujących z małym dzieckiem (trzeba je mieć na oku). Ostatnia rzecz, to typowy w tym kraju problem wąskich rur kanalizacyjnych (zakaz wyrzucania papieru do toalety). Więcej wad nie widziałem.

We had a wonderful stay in the villa.
~ The villa was cleaned every 3 days and was therefore very clean.
~ Very good, modern condition and well-kept garden.
~ The equipment was sufficient.
~ The staff was very nice and helpful.
~ City center can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot.
~ No barbecue facilities, even though this is stated on Booking.com.
~ The pool has rubbed off a bit.
~ Difficult to get to the beach/city on foot because you have to cross the busy highway.
