This is such a wonderful place to stay! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it boasts a peaceful setting surrounded by nature, offering a truly relaxing escape. The accommodation itself is fantastic. The rooms feature modern design, and they are spacious and comfortable. The garden is another highlight, adorned with maple trees, colourful koi fish, graceful bridges and gentle flowing water — the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. What’s more, complimentary drinks are available in the lobby at all times, a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The staff here are warm, polite, attentive and highly efficient, making our stay all the more pleasant. We also loved the breakfast area; it’s a lovely space serving a rich selection of distinctive local breakfast foods. There are plenty of great attractions nearby too. We enjoyed visiting the local river, a unique railway station, a delicious eel rice restaurant and several fascinating museums. We absolutely hope to come back again in autumn to admire the beautiful fall maple leaves! Highly recommend this lovely stay to everyone.

I liked some of the staffed that assisted, but not all. The bar service was really nice.

The lady that helped us check in was not as nice, seemed like her attitude did not like us. When I booked, I selected 2 adults, 2 children but for some reason it only showed a room for 2 adults and 1 child, but on the description it looked like 4 can stay in there. However, instead of a nice greeting we were not greeted as warmly from the lady that spoke more fluent english. We were charged over $500 more just to add another person, it should be the fault to the booking platform not us. Although the hotel was nice, that experience did not want me to come back anymore when I visit. The other staff members were very nice though, but this would be my first and last.

Such a special hotel in a beautiful setting, with the river and Japanese garden. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and spoke very good English. The room was spacious, very clean and well equipped with the nicest pyjamas. We had the tasting menu in the restaurant which they kindly adapted to a vegetarian version. Overall very good service and so nice to stay in such a beautiful hotel! Highly recommend.

We would have loved to buy a set of the pyjamas!

A stunning quiet setting, with an amazing garden. Beautifully designed building inside and out. The room well deisgned for relaxation and large with an amazing bathroom. The bar (offering some free drinks) and restaurant overlook the stunning garden. The staff go over and above to make the experience as relaxing and memorable as possible. We paid extra for the sauna experience, and although it was expensive, it felt very luxurious and worth it for a treat. The food was an amazing experience. Seeing the chef cook in front of you was special.

While in the sauna, there was an issue with the music that kept skipping, which was mildly disturbing. The only minus of a fantastic stay.
