Finca Casa Emilia

Beautiful villa in a lovely setting. We appreciated the style of the house and enjoyed the garden - especially the birdlife and the spectacular views and sunsets. Of course, the price of the views is a walk uphill from the village but then, it’s Cómpeta! We are walkers and used to hills so it wasn’t a problem for us and the walk wasn’t very long. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Despite the cold weather we managed to stay warm using the very efficient wood-burning stove. The owners were very pro-active and friendly, as was Carl , their local property manager. We were really made to feel welcome. The owners were very understanding about a small mishap we had. Overall, a wonderful place to stay - we hope to return!

Alles war perfekt organisiert. Es war ruhig und gemütlich und man konnte sowohl Tage mit Sonne aber auch mit Regen auf der Finca genießen. Ein wirklich schöner Rückzugsort mit herrlicher Aussicht ins Tal oder ins Gebirge.

Die Lage der Finca ist leicht abseits vom Ort, man muss gut zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto unterwegs sein. Cómpeta ist stark am Hang liegend, mit wirklich kleinen und extrem schmalen Gassen auf und ab. Wer kein Autoabenteuer sucht, sollte den Ort nur über die Hauptstraße anfahren, im Ortskern parken und alle Einkäufe bzw. Restaurantbesuche von dort aus zu Fuß erledigen. Mit Google-Map lieber nicht den schnellsten und kürzesten Weg in den Ort anzeigen lassen, ansonsten gefährdet man selbst mit einem Kleinwagen seine Außenspiegel ... :)

The panoramic views were amazing, beds super comfy & had everything you could want. Also, the pool was a good size!

The steep climb to get back to the villa after dining out in the village, although it helped burn off the delicious food offered by the local restaurants!

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at Casa Emilia. A finca set up in the mountains in the beautiful village of Competa. Breathtaking views, you can hear a pin drop. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind away from busy lives. The finca is a lovely space inside with a shaded outside patio area where we spent most evenings. The pool and garden area are just beautiful. Sunsets to die for. The lovely village of competa is a short walk away, very steep hills as it is set on the mountain side, but we enjoyed the walk. Some lovely restaurants and bars in the village itself. The finca is very well stocked, had everything we needed. Communication with hosts and guest services was very good.
