The Old Stable

Spacious enough for one person, comfy bed, peaceful and central location.

No eating space downstairs.

Court yard was shared wasn't very clean. Upon entrance kitchen was nice and bathroom and living room too . Very comfortable bed . A few problems with water boiler seem to have a mind of its own .Sometimes wouldn't work to heat water . Had iron hairdryer and washer dryer . Kitchen had all the basics.

Hot water seem to be very temperamental.. There was a sink on wall in kitchen saying if was a problem with hot water to go out to shed and press boost but . We did this but never made a difference sometimes . Just makes me think needing some attention . My wife said the very small ironing borad wasn't any use saying a full size one would be better. She also thought a mirror down stairs would have been a nice touch as well as some coat hooks .

The location was brilliant, right in the heart of Keswick but away from.the hustle and bustle.

The bed pillows and sofa were not comfortable, we were only left with 2 toilet rolls, this is not enough for 3 nights over Christmas when all the shops are shut.

Private. Well-appointed. Ready for use when I arrived, and easy to enter, and to open/lock. Well-heated in January. Kitchen equipment worked well and easily. Easy to keep clean. Great location! And the lady who came to clean as I departed was very pleasant and friendly.

Only a coffee table and low sofa - I would have appreciated a table to eat from (drop-down would be fine) and higher chair. And maybe two comfy arm-chairs rather than the sofa. A few essential food supplies would be welcome (though there was salt). The Wi-fi was patchy. Also, no BBC/freeview? The heating worked well, but was a little difficult to regulate. Needs a new pole to open/close the high windows. A little more storage space would be good and should be possible.
