5 Doughty Street - Urban Apartments

- well appointed studio flat - outstanding sound proofing - very good air conditioning - luxury linen and towels - plenty of well-organised storage - new kitchen in top condition - nice outdoor share space/garden - 100m to Costa Coffee and convenience stores - 3 pubs within less than 5 mins walking distance - lots of e-bikes and scooters available in the area with plenty of parking (no long walks to parking zones!) - responsive and helpful out of hours support team - friendly and discrete housekeeping team

- The Mews online check-in app didn't work for me, adding unnecessary friction on arrival. To be fair, this is a Mews Systems product rather than something Urban Apartments built, and from my own personal experience, they're far from the only Mews PMS customer who struggle to get the software working. Urban Apartments are welcome to contact me if they'd like some concrete ideas on how to address this and establish a fit for purpose digital check-in system. Otherwise really not a lot to be improved upon at this property. Some minor observations for consideration: - Its always a personal perference but for me the bed was extremely soft. Once I removed the extremely thick and soft mattress protectors the mattress itself was actually quite comfortable. - The cold water tap never ran cold. Easily solved by filling a couple of bottles and storing in the fridge (which does not have a freezer) - The TV seems out of place (old, very small) and undermines the high quality of the rest of the apartment, fixtures, and fittings.

Location and area. Nice old building but clean we had a lovely apartment which added to the charm of course.

Location was great - I have stayed here multiple times - each in a different flat. This time I was in flat 10. It’s great location for tube and for work.

It’s the smallest flat I have stayed in so far. Staying Monday - Friday for work I was disappointed that the wardrobe offers no hanging facilities for work shirts, and the heated towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work meaning by the end of the week towels were consistently damp.
