Summary:
You will enjoy this pet friendly 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath condo located on Hilton Head Island in Shipyard. This condo is located across from Sonesta Resort and a short walk or bike ride to the beach. One of the benefits to this two-bedroom condo is the large back porch area to enjoy the Lowcountry air. This is also a first floor condo. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of seating at the dining table. (Note: There are 5 stairs you walk up to get to the front door as seen in the pictures).
The Space:
The full kitchen provides ample space and facilities to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. The master bedroom has been updated and has a beautifully tiled shower. Second guest room has two twin beds and has access to its own full bathroom . You also have access to a community pool, tennis courts, and short walk to the beach down a shaded path. It is an amazing place for you and your family to come and get away for a much needed family vacation.

**Shipyard Gate Pass and Parking. -There is a maximum of 2 cars allowed for this unit. If you are bringing more than 1 car please let us know 7 days in advance of your stay. There will be an additional $40 parking pass fee for the additional car. If you are staying over 30 days, please inquire about the cost of the car pass.
The Neighborhood:
Beachwalk villas are located in Shipyard Resort with community pool (200 ft from the condo) and very close to Van Der Meer world class tennis facilities. The pool is open April through October of each year. You can walk to the Sonesta Resort where they have several restaurants and a bar. Shipyard has wonderful beach access only a short walk away. (0.25 miles or a 5 minute walk or a quick bike ride). Shipyard has 27 holes of golf to enjoy and miles of bike paths under shaded live oaks and towering pine trees. Restaurants, beach, golf and tennis, Shipyard has all the amenities at your finger tips.
Just outside of Shipyard is the rest of beautiful Hilton Head Island. Over 60 Coligny shops and restaurants are a short ride away with casual dining and shopping for everyone. Sea Pines along with iconic Harbour Town is also just a short car ride away. Hilton Head offers over 30 golf courses in the area, over 400 tennis and pickle ball courts, 117 miles of wonderful bike paths and 17 miles of white sandy beaches. You can para sail, deep sea fish, jet ski, dine in casual and upscale restaurants, golf on championship golf courses and play on world class tennis courts.
Other Things to Note:
We know that plans change and emergencies arise. Please consider purchasing a travel protection plan either with us as an add on or separately to assure a refund in case of an unexpected disruption to your travel.
143 Beachwalk Cancellation Policy: Should you decide to cancel your villa reservation more than 30 days before your planned arrival, a $150 forfeiture will apply. Cancellations made between 30 and 14 days prior to your arrival will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days or less of your scheduled arrival date will result in the forfeiture of the entire rental amount.
Refunds will not be provided for early checkouts, no-shows, or instances of inclement weather. It is advisable to consider purchasing travel insurance.

PET POLICY: There is a $200 (plus tax and fees) non-refundable deposit for each dog brought with you. This is added for the 1st pet automatically. If you have additional pets, there will be an additional charge of $150 (plus tax and fees) for each additional pet. There will also be a separate pet contract for you to agree to. Thanks for understanding! Here is the contract below:
Guidelines for dogs staying at Property 143 Beachwalk, Hilton Head:
1. Dogs should be leashed at all times while outside. This is different if you are on the beach, and the rules are posted at the beach.
2. Pet waste must be collected and disposed of properly.
3. Do not allow dogs on the furniture or beds.
4. Dogs should not be left alone to bark inside the home while owners are absent.
5. Dogs must be on a flea maintenance treatment.
6. Be Our Guest will inspect the property the day of departure. Be Our Guest will do
an inspection for torn rugs, furniture or damaged doors/walls. An inspection will
also be done on rugs and floors.
7. There will be a non-refundable pet deposit of $200 for the 1st dog and $150 for the 2nd dog collected at time of booking. If pet related damages are found upon your departure, any cost for remedy will be assessed upon departure. These charges will be in addition to the pet deposit.
8. Any evidence of excessive dog hair on the floor or evidence of the dog in the bed will result in additional cleaning charges.
**There will be a $40-$80 (plus tax) car pass fee for each stay added on after the initial booking. This fee depends on your length of stay.

The unit was great for our stay! The host was friendly and accommodating and got back to us quickly. The unit is a little outdated but the location makes up for that. Quick walk to the beach access and Shipyard is our favorite place to stay on the island. The beds were comfortable and the AC was cold so we all slept great. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Great vacation.

We really enjoyed staying at this property! Nicely decorated, very clean and a short walk to the beach. The deck is Wonderful and peaceful! We would highly recommend it and look forward to staying again!

We spent a week at 143 Beach Walk and enjoyed every minute of it! It was super clean, very conveniently located (only minutes by foot from the beach), and very quiet. We brought our dog with us because it is also pet friendly - we loved that even the large deck had a gate. There are paths from this neighborhood for dog-walking so you can take your pick….the beach or a shady inland route! On the administrative side, instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear, pass for access to Shipyard was ready at the gate, everything was easy - the way it’s supposed to be on vacation. Loved this family-oriented, friendly place and will definitely be back.

The process overall was good and mostly responsive. As mentioned by other reviews there is a lack of general maintenance and cleaning. Mostly exterior, the porch is filthy, rotting wood around door and the cheapest and easiest fix it a fresh door mat. The inside needs return air vent cleaning. Lots of dust around fridge. Beds are very comfortable but the sheets were sandy. We brought some from home so used those. The biggest thing is the floors. We don’t wear shoes in the house but when walking around our feet and socks would be filthy. Suggestion is to provide a broom and a swifer mop for guests to use. The A/C changes randomly like a schedule was set. Lastly, the master bedroom doesn’t have curtains on all the windows therefore with just blinds, it can be hard to sleep with so much outside light coming in. We had an extra blanket from home that we were able to use to darken the room. I’ve stayed in shipyard many times over the last 15 to 20 years, this was a nice place would most likely return, but may bring my own sheets and a broom and a mop.
