HORRIBLE!!!! Read this before booking

In short, I advise everyone not to book here!!! When there is somerhing wrong or not working you can not reach the owners and they don’t help you. When we arrived at the location, we quickly discovered that the toilet was not working. However we could not get in contact with the owners. The first number we tried didn’t work. After a while we managed to get the number of the concierge who was away himself and could not come to fix the toilet. He told us he couldn’t reach the owners himself because they where away on vacation. He also said this wasn’t the first time this happened. After wasting a whole day of our vacation a plumber was able to come to the appartement, but he couldn’t fix the toilet because he needed the owner to agree to the costs. At least this man felt sorry for us, something the owner never did, not even when he finally called us the next day. All this while we had no option to go to the toilet! The fact that I was pregnant and that this was very uncomfortable didn’t seem to matter to the owner. Then in the evening of the second day we got the message that the owners wanted us to leave as quickly as possible. Never mind that we could not find another accomodation on such short notice or that we had already booked activities in Paris, so we could not go home. They also don’t want to give us a discount despite the facts that we stayed there for five days without a toilet and they ruined part of our vacation!!! Also the matresses are really thin and uncomfortable, the coffee machine didn’t work, you couldn’t keep out the light in the morning and the couch is tiny with bad cushions. It goes without saying that the toilet was disgusting…

The stay would have been perfect, if not for the tedious process of locating the place.

The little place was pleasant. Everything we needed. Very nice being secluded and on the Seine.

The place was IMPOSSIBLE to find. The owner needs to supply a map to show exactly how to get there. No street signs and no house numbers. We drove around and finally found someone to give us exact directions.

Disaster

The location was good.

We arrived 930pm at night with kids after travelling 17hrs straight we arrive and we walk in and they are cleaning the apartment because they forgot we were coming even though they had sent me a message about our stay that day. They made us wait another 30mins to get in so we didn’t get in until 10pm. The home wasn’t cleaned well. The sheets smelt like they were from the last person. We had to use towels over the pillows we were grossed out. The bathroom smelled. They offered $20 off for inconvenience honestly thats insulting. One of the worst stays when it could have easily been a good stay. It is all at the back of someone’s house so anytime they use the bathroom it echoes through the cottage.

quiet little house. must understand how to get there before you go. need driving directions from Giverny.

by a cute river. quiet. full kitchen. needs paper towels and salt and pepper. very clean except for bathroom cup.

location of house very hard to find. street is Chenin grands Jardins not grands Jardins even locals on the street did not know where it was. gps could not find it. bed was just ok. bunk bed mattresses were not good. instructions on how to turn on the refrigerator and heaters should be printed and left on kitchen table. the lockbox was hidden and the Asian lady did not answer phone or door. had to message the owner and they finally answered after two hours of looking and calling owners phone number.

Very good

The location was absolutely fantastic, the garden is straight onto the river and it's really peaceful. We enjoyed sitting by the river feeding the swan. The kitchen was quite well equipped for such a small space There was a fan in the bedroom. The owner offered us the use of his kayak.

The furniture is quite old fashioned and it would be better if this was updated There was no mirror in the bedroom There was no microwave

Da wir mit dem Rad unterwegs waren und sehr ko, schafften wir es nicht mehr zum Restaurant. Aber die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet, so hatten wir Fertig-Pizza.

Vriendelijke hosts met verouderde gîte aan prachtig riviertje.

De gîte was mooi gelegen aan een klein riviertje. Badkamer en slaapkamer (wel erg groot) ok. Ontvangst door noch Frans, Engels of Duits sprekende Chinese host was vriendelijk. Met gebaren kwamen we er uit. Ook zijn vrouw sprak alleen Chinees. Dochter die er de volgende dag was, sprak gewoon Frans.

De behoorlijk gedateerde woonkamer (boven) was niet praktisch. Daar ga je nooit zitten! Verder lees ik al in een aantal reviews dat er geen gordijn boven het bed is, wat in juni tot gevolg heeft dat je al voor zessen wakker wordt! Hier is eenvoudig iets aan te doen! De indeling boven is een ander verhaal.
