What did we like? What was not to like! Sofia and her family are super friendly. The house is as equipped as any home: TV with Netflix (for those who need that on holiday), big kitchen with every utensil/pan etc you need to cook whatever, bed's were comfortable, 2 bathrooms, 10kg washing machine, fast internet, a sitting room + kitchen open space, play room, 3 bedrooms and a big garden. The garden and the surrounding land was fantastic to walk around and discover stuff with the children. There's a big fig tree which provided loads of fresh figs (Aug./Sep), hazelnuts, vines, apples, prunes etc The kitchen/living room has a beautiful view on the neighbouring vineyard. Best of all: after 8pm there is very little noise. Hardly any cars or passers by. Just the crickets and the wind. The location is absolutely perfect for those who like there wines. Barolo, Barbaresco, Nizza (Barbera) are all within a 30min drive. Within 60-90min you are in Milan, Turin or Genoa, or at the beach! Canellim the closest town, has lovely shops, restaurants and cafés. As a family of 5 (5, 3, 11 months) we had a great holiday here. Highly recommended.

It wasn't an issue for us, but there is no pool or bath. Some of the hobs on the gas stove didn't work well, but it didn't prevent us savouring the local produce. (Fig Tarte Tatin!)
