Not a nice place to stay, horrible smell, owner unresponsive.
The owner didn’t provide the code and didn’t respond to messages or phone calls so I stood in the street for almost an hour unable to access the apartment. There is a very unpleasant smell in the apartment which the owner is obviously aware of as all the windows were all open. The 2 diffusers were empty so did nothing to disguise it. The bathroom basin was cracked and hadn’t been cleaned, part of the toilet flush was missing, the toilet roll holder was broken, the shower tray drained very slowly so filled up during a shower and there was no bath mat. The apartment has a random collection of furniture and is not designed for comfort. The single bed is a mattress on a very low base. The sofa bed was not too uncomfortable but the pillowcase had bleach stains. And really why not just put a proper bed in the bedroom and make a nice sitting room area. The TV is huge but doesn’t seem to be connected to an aerial so had no signal. There were no welcoming touches (eg a couple of coffee pods and condiments in the kitchen). The tea towel was stained. But the smell was all pervasive (dead rats in the walls?) and just made it very hard to be in the apartment.
