The stay at The Granary was wonderful despite the heat. The accommodation was generous especially the cream tea awaiting us in the fridge. We did get the chance to explore as we would have desired but the proximity to the river was enticing. The view (as was likely the aim) was spectacular and a delight to the soul. Despite the location, still a short drive to town.
Being upstairs was warmer and can be less comfortable on hot days. The bedrooms were cool though so sleep was not impacted. A little potted plant at the top of the stairs outside on the right may well help avoid the low roof and heads getting to know each other
