Driftwood Cottage is located on the first floor of a three-story, six-unit building and possesses a refined style and designer touches. Enjoy the comforts and convenience of an oceanfront beach retreat. Savor the beautiful sunrises watching the dolphins with morning coffee or afternoon cocktails overlooking the ocean on the large deck off the living room and master bedroom. While steps to the beach and a short walk to local dining and shopping, Driftwood Cottage is also within a block of Carolina Beach Lake Park, an 11-acre freshwater lake, where there is a lovely walking trail surrounding the lake, children's story walk, paddleboats, and a summer farmers' market. If you choose to dine-in, you can pick-up local produce or prepared meals made with North Carolina farmed fruits and vegetables, from the family-owned Veggie Wagon, just a block away. Enjoy an evening stroll on the vintage Carolina Beach Boardwalk. After Memorial Day, the town hosts beach fireworks every Thursday night, which can be seen from the deck or the sandy beach steps away.

If you must work while at Driftwood Cottage, both bedrooms are equipped with unique two-tiered folding desks. A linen and towel package is included, making your stay feel like home away from home.
Driftwood Cottage, Unit 1D in the Sands III Complex has an outdoor shower and shallow pool, making it an excellent spot for teaching children to swim. The home has two reserved outdoor parking spaces.

The property was clean but had some issues. The a/c filter was dirty. The bathroom sink was slow-draining. The view from the back deck was not good. If you sat in the chairs, you couldn't see the ocean (only the railings). The parking spot we were assigned wasn't covered and difficult to find. Wouldn't stay here again. For those prices I expected better.

Ocean view was amazing. We were able to open the balcony sliders and catch the cool ocean breeze. It was clean and a nice place to stay!
