Goleen Harbour

Nice chalet in a quiet, unspoilt location. Chalet had everything needed provided and was very clean. Mattresses were really comfortable and it was great to be able to park beside the chalet. Owner was very nice and responsive with our issues. Close to Goleen and nice base for exploring the area.

The driveway up to the chalet's was very narrow and very stony- so we had to drive slowly to protect our tyres! The chalet itself was compact and had very little storage space to put anything away in both the main area and the bathroom. It was also very cramped when the pull down bed was down for 3 of us. It would have been ideal for 2 people. The ladder up to the loft bed you had to be very careful climbing up and down and there was very little room in the loft (we knew this would be the case before check-in). The hot tub and sauna were not provided by the property free of charge (as was implied on the booking.com website) but you had to book slot via their website and pay €20pp for 45mins. It would have been nice to have known this in advance. Unfortunately there was an issue with the water for us. The day after our arrival the water was initially cold and then not working at all. The owner was very responsive and had an engineer come out that day and fix it but at that point we had set out for the day without showers- so not ideal. The shower was very good the next day when it worked. I also thought it was expensive for what it was at over €200 per night.

Cozy place, wonderful view. Perfect for a stay as a couple.

Due to the bad weather, the noise from the wind during the night caused us to have a poor night’s sleep.

Disappointed with no access to WiFi. Totally understand the concept of the accommodation but I do think WiFi could be available.
