Needs to be brought into 21st century to command the money being asked

Location and bar. Bar served great pint, bar staff were friendly and professional and creative a warm atmosphere

Hotel was very tired and too expensive for what it was. Was like going back to 90's. Couldn't control heating and I was freezing the whole time. Rooms were clean but common areas need new carpet. Staying in Dublin last weekend in a 4star hotel on Dame street and it was cheaper than Marcy.

Amazing location

Cosy wee room, in the town centre.

Not worth the price, disappointed that breakfast is not included. Also found empty liquor bottle in the wardrobe

The reception and bar staff were so friendly and helpful The beds were comfy and it was lovely and quiet. The free secure parking is great.

The location was super central. We also appreciated the car parking just around the corner. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and everything was nice and clean.

The room size was a little small and the bathroom could have been laid out slightly better. The decor, fixtures/fittings in the room were a little dated, but fully functional. It would have been nice to enter and exit with just our room key, rather than buzzing staff, but we understand safety is the priority for the hotel.

Comfortable hotel in centre of Drogheda. Recommended.

Came to Drogheda for one night to walk the Boyne Valley Camino. Chose Marcy because of its location v close to the start point. Booked single, room was spacious, clean and comfortable with double bed and tea and coffee, which I value in a hotel. Staff were helpful, knew all about Camino and gave me a stamp for my credential and advice about visiting St Peter's Church and the chapel for St Oliver Plunkett. Spent comfortable night after long and rainy day on trail. Car parking was included just around the corner, which was very helpful.

I enjoyed my stay at The Marcy Hotel. It was Centrally located right in the middle of Drogheda. All the tourist spots were easily within walking distance. Nellys the Hotel bar was a great place to relax & spend time drinking a Pint. The Hotel served a delicious Breakfast with a little something for everyone!!

Tiny room with no space.

The decor is lovely but the description of the rooms is very misleading

The location, the staff were so nice, especially the staff in Nelly's bar and the breakfast staff. The food in Nelly's was also very good.

The main issue i had was the noise, we could hear everything happening on the streets outside until 4 or 5 in the morning when it calmed down. Double glazed windows are needed on in hotel on a busy street like this. The walls are also so thin, we could hear everything. The breakfast was not worth the price, not enough options and too small a portion, the buffet area was also very small and mostly empty when we got there. The lack of lifts was not made clear before booking.

Cozy hotel that's comfortable and friendly, but be prepared for loud music and people at night.

Bed was very comfy, room clean and spacious and staff were very friendly. Great breakfast and tea and coffee facilities.

The walls and ceilings are very thin and you could hear everyone's footsteps at night. As the marcy is attached to a bar it was almost impossible to sleep on the Friday night.

A good room in a convenient location.

The room was comfortable and clean and the location was very good for walking, as well as being very close to the ancient tombs to tour.

The room was loud, which is understandable because it is in an urban location. Closing the window eliminated the noise, but there was no fan in the room so the room was uncomfortably warm for sleeping.

The staff were excellent. The Eden breakfast room was lovely. The mattresses were very good. Everything was very clean. Location was perfect.

Lack of air flow and very muggy. The room was warm but too loud to leave the windows opened. It was very musty and needs some air circulation. Would be ideal to put in a purifying fan. Not ideal for an asthmatic which I am. Someone else may not have an issue. Very little water pressure.

Excellent!!!

I booked a room at this hotel for my parents, as my home is quite far from the town center. Since they don't speak English, I was initially concerned about how they'd be received. However, the staff went above and beyond my expectations — they were incredibly patient and attentive, making sure my parents felt welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. At the end of their visit, the hotel staff even arranged a taxi for them and kindly called me with all the details: the taxi number, the company, and their destination. The hotel itself is also lovely — warm, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The room was tidy and comfortable, just perfect for a relaxing stay. You don’t usually expect this level of care and quality from a 3-star hotel. That’s why I’m giving them a well-deserved 5-star review!
