Unlock J One Downtown Dubai

I loved everything about this stay. The communication even before I arrived was excellent, and as soon as I arrived the Unlock team were friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. The apartments are lovely, I've stayed in 2 different ones (a studio, and a 1-bed) and each one has been a delight. They're modern, clean, comfortable, and cosy. The team check in regularly, and are on hand for literally anything you need. My room didn't have a coffee machine initially even though it was listed on the amenities, and when I asked about it, someone arrived at my door with one within 5 minutes. Such attentive service! I also asked for an extra clothes drying rack and the team made me feel it was no trouble at all. The building itself is beautiful, again very clean and modern. The pool is lovely, not a huge space but it's never that busy so there's always a free sun lounger. The gym is small but has all the basics that you need. I love the area so much, you have the canal literally on your doorstep which has everything you need along it. Restaurants, bars, cafes, beauty salons. There's a small grocery store and cafe right at the bottom of the building. The mall is a short walk away and easy to get to. Bay Square is just across the road with even more shops, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. I honestly couldn't recommend Unlock Stays and J One tower any more highly and will likely stay even longer. Thank you, team Unlock!

The location is excellent. Within walking distance of Dubai Mall. Shops and restaurants around the hotel. The staff were excellent. Mustafa (sorry if I spelt it wrong) was friendly, professional and welcoming.

Friendly and helpful staff, good location, good view

This was a disappointing experience. We were given a room facing the construction site with a lot of noise and the lights flashing into our living room. The room was incredibly dirty. Floors and sinks not cleaned, filthy cabinets, walls and utensils covered with layers of dirt. Sponges and kitchen hand towels dirty. I asked the staff for a room change and requested a proper cleaning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the conditions in the new room a bit better. Room cleaning only for an extra charge - should be included with those conditions. No curtain in the living room so not perfect for the person sleeping on the couch. The couch itself is small and not comfortable for an adult person. A lot of noise from the street the whole night, poor sound insulation. TV didn’t work, lock to the balcony door broken and a toilet seat loose. This hotel is not worth the money. Maybe we were very unlucky and our complaints were listened to but overall very disappointing and I would not recommend this place.
