B17 apartments

We were in 2 women and it was good for us. Comfy and very close to everything in the old town. Communication with host was superb, very responsive.

Shower was very small but it’s ok.

The location of the apartment was perfect, very close to Buza Gate, which made transporting luggage incredibly easy. Short walk to any eatery or restaurant. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom, the shower was quite small, but no problem.

The only issues we came across was some of the kitchenette supplies could be replaced. And we got unlucky with the 2x sets of guests staying above us in the neighbouring apartment, as they were very noisy with a dog and children running around, the noise travelling through the wooden structure of the ceiling. This is no fault of the hosts but ear plugs would be recommended.

Apartament jest w jednym ze starych kamiennych budynków to jest plus, bo wnętrze się nie nagrzewa. Ale ciężko wywietrzyć apartament. Jest klimatyzacja (trochę slabo działa, ale nie mieliśmy koniecznisci bardzo schładzać, mimo ze na zewnątrz bylo do 34 stopni), jednak czuć wilgoć w powietrzu. Ciężko wysuszyć rzeczy.

The apartment, although small, had everything required for a short break and was clean. The location was excellent for the old town, bus stop and cable car. Communication from Josip was good throughout and Ana gave us a wonderful and informative check-in. Had it not been for the noise issues and uncomfortable mattress, we could easily have rated the apartment 10 for what it offered.

Unfortunately there were two major negatives to staying here, which is why I've had to give such a low score. Firstly and the worst part for us was a problem with noise. We were staying in the ground floor apartment and there is another apartment upstairs directly on top. Sadly there was no soundproofing so the noise through their floor/our ceiling was at times awful to the point that we considered cutting our losses and finding somewhere else to stay. As well as the noise from above there was a yappy dog in one of the neighbouring properties that barked persistently. The noise from people on the street walking past was also very noticeable but bearable, although this was the start of the season, so I imagine in peak season this might also be a problem. Secondly, the mattress was not fit for purpose. The metal springs were very prominent sticking up uncomfortably. We had to lay on top of the duvet to make it bearable. A couple of things to note: the hot water is scorching if the tap/shower is turned up too much. We felt there should have been a thermostatic regulator to prevent burns or at least a warning notice, especially if children were staying. The wood in the bottom drawer of the bathroom vanity unit is damp and disintegrating. While this wasn't an issue for us, the host may want to check the sink for a leak. Shampoo is advertised on booking.com, but there was none in the property.
