We had the pleasure of spending Christmas 2025 at New Era, the place is absolutely beautiful inside as described.
The owner Nikos was on hand for support from our booking confirmation until check-out.
The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you would need, the interior is very tastefully laid out to a very high standard with a little hidden gem of an outside terrace of the master bedroom.
The kitchen has every amenities that you require for self-catering as well as a very central location to buy from supermarkets or a 5 minute stroll right into the centre of Heraklion.
Yes, the place as described is located in an upcoming area , but also very safe to walk around , quiet and rustic whic adds to the staying in an older part of the city.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking luxury accommodation at a reasonable price.
Parking also isn't an issue as they are several Carparking areas close by, just drop off your things as it's quite restricted and go park within a few minutes walk, you won't need the car unless you are leaving Heraklion as everything is within walking distance.

Prachtige locatie, midden in het centrum. Nikos is een geweldig vriendelijke host die voor je klaarstaat.
In de buurt van zee, heerlijke restaurants en gezellige uitgaansgelegenheden.
Mooie uitvalslocatie om wandelingen te maken, voor het strand en de stad met al haar voordelen.

Die Unterkunft ist ein absolutes Highlight und hat unseren Urlaub zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Es sah genau so aus wie auf den Bildern. Das Mobiliar war ausgezeichnet, alles war in einem tollen Zustand.
Uns hat es ausnahmslos überzeugt!
