Everything. Kitchen was well appointed. Loved the bar are. The lounge are was great for group chats and conversation. Views were amazing. Access was easy and property easy to find, but use harbour lights campsite as the point of reference rather than a postcode. Toilet facilities were excellent. Bathrooms were extremely clean. As a group we cannot say anything negative at all about the property. We are considering a stay at Christmas or New Year in the future. Highly recommended place to stay.

Excellent internal space, clean, classy and perfect for a group or family get together. There is a bar area in the lounge which would be fantastic for a party. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need and more, so catering while away from home is super easy and the pizza oven is brilliant. The owners have clearly thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable, plenty of storage, quality furniture and furnishings and touches of luxury.
The caravan site that the property sits on completely surrounds the property. During our two night stay there were people from the site on the house grounds almost constantly. Using it as a walk through to the road, sitting on the wall and generally hanging out in and around the garden. However, Herdwicks itself feels safe and secure while inside and was big enough to not feel too encroached upon.
We found the staff rude and unfriendly at the water sport hire at the marina park - obviously nothing to do with Herdwicks so haven’t factored in the review but mentioning for information for other visitors who might want to avoid and head somewhere else the enjoy the water instead.
