Baan Bophut Beach Hotel Samui - SHA Extra Plus

What an extraordinary place! After spending two and a half weeks traveling around Thailand and staying in several hotels, we can confidently say that Baan Bophut was by far our favorite. It genuinely exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We stayed in the stunning ground-floor villa, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were absolutely blown away. The entire villa is beautifully designed, spacious and luxurious, with exceptional attention to detail and impeccable taste. The magnificent open-plan living area features a generous, elegant lounge, a beautifully appointed dining area and a fully equipped modern kitchen, even including a washing machine! The two lovely bedrooms have incredibly comfortable beds, and the large, luxurious bathrooms are equally impressive. Everything feels thoughtfully designed for both comfort and elegance, with excellent air conditioning and lovely little touches, including replenished drinks and treats for the children. And then there is the view. Absolutely breathtaking! The sea is literally just a few steps away, and the spectacular ocean views from the rooms make the entire experience feel like a dream. Our children absolutely loved the swimming pool. Although shared with the few other guests, it felt wonderfully private, and having the pool right outside our villa meant the children could easily go back and forth throughout the day. The pool was also surprisingly deep and much more enjoyable than its appearance might initially suggest. Breakfast was another highlight. Instead of a standard buffet, we could choose from an extensive menu every evening, with plenty of delicious options for everyone. We could even decide where to enjoy it, whether in our air-conditioned dining area or outside on the terrace overlooking the sea. The food was delicious, and it was such a lovely, relaxing way to start the day! The location is simply perfect.

The location was the sell for me, its right across from Charm Restaurant (the Master Chef contestant place), and right on the beach where you can walk along the shore to the popular Coco Tams where the fire show is. The pool is big enough for a cool swim, and there are plenty of beach chairs to lie on on the beach. The rooms are neat and modern, it was a good stay. Breakfast on your balcony or room was really nice and there was a good choice.

I hate to say it but it was a major part of our stay...... we were in room 4 and the heat pump for the water must have been right on top of our room and all day and all night it turned on and off with a humming noise. If you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for another room, because it was the only thing that bothered us. The beach wasn't the nicest to swim in right in front of the hotel.
