Pohoiki Black Sand Beach with warm pools is also approximately 15 minutes away by car and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is 1-hour away.

Spend quality time outdoors in the neighborhood’s well-maintained parks. Island sunshine showers into the living area through large windows. A sleeper sofa, a chaise lounge, and cushioned teardrop chair provide comfy seating. Watch favorite shows on the TV equipped with Roku. Bring home fresh ingredients and prepare locally inspired recipes in the kitchen. Perch at the bar for two as dinner simmers on the gas range. Share festive alfresco meals around the dining table for eight on the lanai.

This two-story rental sleeps four guests between two bedrooms and a full-size sleeper sofa in the living area. Both bedrooms boast handsome vaulted ceilings and a dreamy queen bed. Beautiful atrium doors on both sides of each bedroom lead directly to the wraparound lanai. Located across the lanai from each bedroom, the half bath provides added convenience. The full bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination.

The first wraparound lanai is outfitted with two hammocks and the dining table. Two armchairs and a love seat set the scene for relaxation on the second lanai. The tranquil vista includes tropical greenery and peekaboo views of the ocean. Drive mere minutes to Kehena Black Sand Beach. For striking volcanic landscapes, drive eight miles to Kalapana State Wayside Park. Just 15 miles away, Pahoa is a vibrant town with a museum, parks, and tasty restaurants.

If traveling with a larger group, consider renting the downstairs unit as well to accommodate more guests.
Free WiFi, a shared washer/dryer, and two provided bikes are shared with the other unit.
This rental does not have air conditioning. (The property features an open layout and tropical breezes.)
Access to the front door is via an exterior flight of stairs.
The driveway, front yard, and washer/dryer are shared with the downstairs unit in the duplex, which may be occupied during your stay.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
