All staff very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Liam carried our bags up to our room. Fitted us in on a busy night in the restaurant even though we hadn’t booked. Breakfast very good, hot and plentiful. Nice touch was a complimentary Prosecco for my birthday. Free parking and good location.
No hooks in the bathroom and bathroom needs updating. Bed a bit lumpy. Lighting near the mirror not very bright. Stairs narrow and sharp turn at the top.

Location is fantastic and rooms very very clean and comfortable.
We don’t stay for evening meal
As it was valentines night so I’d already booked somewhere for dinner, but from what I was hearing from other customers and going off the breakfast the food is fantastic as well.
Owners Liam and Rachel have this place immaculate and are superb hosts.
I’ve stayed in lots of B&B’s because I work away quite a bit and I have to say that the queens hotel is right up there with one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in and we will definitely be back there again in the summer.
Thanks so much Liam and Rachel we had a wonderful stay

Bed was uncomfortable, too soft.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Queens hotel this month when visiting family near Harlech. Our room was beautifully kitted out with everything we could need for a relaxing stay.
Breakfast choices were excellent and all hot food freshly cooked, only had room for a small full breakfast each day, but even that was more than enough.
Rachel and Liam are perfect hosts, welcoming and great company if you want to engage them in conversation or just attentive if you wish to keep yourselves to yourselves.
Nice evening meal and pints in the pub and friendly service from their son.
Didn’t realise they had won a four in a bed competition, but having stayed there we are not surprised as it is exceptional value for money.
Great stay, great location, great hosts.

Great situation right next to the little railway, at the foot of the castle so great views and near to the beach and little town of Harlech itself

Booked room with view of the castle, as a treat for my husband ,after a castle holiday of North Wales, staff very friendly and welcoming. Free parking, lovely room. Nice hot showers. Joined the locals for weekly quiz in the bar, made very welcome great fun.

The hotel room was pristine and stocked with everything I would need (including coffee, tea and some snacks). It was warm and cozy. Liam and Rachel were fabulous hosts. The vegetarian breakfast was superb and there was plenty of toast and coffee. Liam helped me with my bag which was very much appreciated. The location was just near Cassell Harlech and there was onsite parking. I cannot recommend more highly.

The hosts were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions we had.
The bar staff were friendly and engaging.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was outstanding.
Great location for local attractions e.g. golf course, castle, beach, hill walks and transport links (train/bus).

The staff were all very welcoming and flexible, allowing me and my friend to show up much later than the latest check in time (since our train was late). We both felt welcome there and were glad to have somewhere warm to stay for the night. The facilities were great, and the staff served us a wonderful breakfast in the morning as well.

Proximity to the castle. Pillows were nice. Snacks were provided in room.
A bit impersonal. Tried to make arrangements to leave my bag with the hotel so I could hike up the hill but the owner just couldn’t be bothered. I also got up too late for breakfast which was only served for an hour on Sunday morning.

Did not get to have breakfast
We were let into a room up some very narrow stairs. We struggled with our bags . We did feel a bit uncomfortable with the room as it was not quite what we had expected .
We were there for about Half and hour when there was a loud knock on the door . The owner seemed angry with us as he said our booking was for the next day and he would have to make the room up again for the guests that were booked in.
He asked us to leave and escorted us to the door.
This was a genuine mistake on our booking search which was for the correct day but it must have defaulted to the next day.
No remedy help or kindness was provided and we just felt we had been thrown out. It was very embarrassing . We ended up making a 4 hour journey home late at night .We paid for a room we were never going to use as certainly didn't want to return.

Although it was an old hotel. The owners have worked hard to keep it tidy Lovely owners. Very helpful. Great breakfast.
The bed didn’t really suit us but we are fussy when it comes to mattresses and prefer memory foam.

Food choice for dinner a bit limited on the day I visited. Good food though!

Handy for the town, beach, bus and train. Clean comfy room. Good selection of hot drinks and nibbles. Good breakfast, evening meals pub food ( chicken and leek curry recommended), no puds but large mains so not missed. Landlady and landlord plus bar staff friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was very clean with nice towels and products, but bath and shower are due for a refurb. Some road noise in the morning but ear plugs provided.

The hotel is situated literally in the shadow of Harlech Castle, adjacent to the railway station. It is an old Victorian railway hotel that has been tastefully restored and is caringly run by Liam and his family.
The food is good honest and wholesome with plenty of choices, the rooms aren't enormous but are genuinely comfortable and beautifully warm for our visit in September when temperatures are beginning to drop.
Nothing not to like - it met all of our needs and was exactly as portrayed by the description and photographs.

Excellent full breakfast included in our case. Dinner wonderful. We had window looking right at castle. Was quiet. Staff very professional. Lovely walk from front door down road to the sand dunes and the sea — sublime! Morfa mini-mart very near.
The Castle is a gem, btw.

Good location, very comfortable room with lots of attention to detail. Very generous with a jar of snacks, tea and coffee etc. We chose to have dinner in the dining room , good varied menu with very tasty meals.
The owners Liam and Rachel are very friendly and gave good local recommendations of places to visit.
Slightly concerned about road noise due to location, but certainly not an issue.

Nice property with a restaurant and bar. Although it sits on top of a bar and next to the railroad, it was not loud and no disruption to sleep. The host provided a mask and ear plugs - but they were not needed.
Mattress too firm.
