About this house rental
Come and stay at East Islandia! Beautiful half of an OCEANFRONT duplex with lots of good family space and beautiful views. Our property features private a boardwalk to the ocean, an outdoor shower, an outdoor grill, a fully functioning kitchen and our very own Crow's Nest on the top floor with sweeping views of the coast!

Floor 1: 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms (K or Q beds); lower balcony
Floor 2: kitchen/living space + 1 bedroom/bathroom (K bed); upper balcony
Floor 3: Extra sleeping space (4 twin beds, TV, couch); sweeping ocean views
We are happy to host you on the East side of our ocean front duplex. Renting this side allows access to four bedrooms (king or queen bed in each), four bathrooms all with tub/shower combos, and a top floor media room that has bonus twin beds (4 total). The top floor room, which we call the Crow’s Nest, has a large TV, movie style seating, four trundle twin beds and FANTASTIC sweeping views of the coast. There are two decks, upper and lower. If you’re looking for lots of sun, views, and some tanning potential, the upper deck is your spot! The lower deck is for the low key vacationer, it is shady and quiet.
Please note: there are lots of stairs in this house, the entryway landing is on the ground floor, first set of bedrooms on the second, the kitchen and dining on the third, and lastly the Crow’s Nest is up on the fourth level.
There is broadband Wi-Fi throughout the house.
For the whole family, there are many other services and activities within easy walking distance: Bogue Inlet Pier, the Food Lion and Publix grocery stores, the ABC store, a coffee shop, a hardware store with fishing supplies and beach equipment, restaurants, a movie theater, surf shops, and numerous specialty stores. Extensive paved bike/walk paths make exploring more distant shops, services and scenery a breeze. Other adventures await you a short drive away: boat & kayak rentals, charter fishing, historic Swansboro and Beaufort, the NC Aquarium, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, Cedar Point Park, Hammocks Beach State Park, Fort Macon State Park, cruises to Cape Lookout and dolphin-watch cruises. And don't forget the wonderful walk along the beach to Bogue Inlet at the western end of the island.

Nice house overall. My biggest disappointment was that the shrubs in front of the deck should be trimmed. They are so tall you can’t see the beach nor ocean from the deck when sitting and can barely see the ocean when standing. Also the sliding glass door was so very hard to open and close. The vacuum in the house didn’t work and the dust pan was cracked so you couldn’t easily sweep up dirt.

We enjoyed our time at Emerald Isle! The house was a good size and everyone in our family had a spot. Might need a little updating (the back door liked to stick). But you can not beat the location. Kids could walk to shops when they wanted to take a break from the ocean.

This house is set up wonderfully for a group. Lots of stairs but laid out in such a way that it’s easy for everyone to have privacy if needed. Great decks and located walking distance to many stores and attractions. Communication was great and no problems at all. Great house to rent!
