About this house rental
Come and stay at West Islandia! Beautiful half of an OCEANFRONT duplex with lots of good family space and beautiful views. Our property features private a boardwalk to the ocean, an outdoor shower, an outdoor grill, a fully functioning kitchen and our very own Crow's Nest on the top floor with sweeping views of the coast!

Floor 1: 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms (K or Q beds); lower balcony
Floor 2: kitchen/living space + 1 bedroom/bathroom (K bed); upper balcony
Floor 3: Extra sleeping space (4 twin beds, TV, couch); sweeping ocean views
We are happy to host you on the West side of our ocean front duplex. Renting this side allows access to four bedrooms (king or queen bed in each), four bathrooms all with tub/shower combos, and a top floor media room that has bonus twin beds (4 total). The top floor room, which we call the Crow’s Nest, has a large TV, movie style seating, four trundle twin beds and FANTASTIC sweeping views of the coast. There are two decks, upper and lower. If you’re looking for lots of sun, views, and some tanning potential, the upper deck is your spot! The lower deck is for the low key vacationer, it is shady and quiet.
Please note: there are lots of stairs in this house, the entryway landing is on the ground floor, first set of bedrooms on the second, the kitchen and dining on the third, and lastly the Crow’s Nest is up on the fourth level.
There is broadband Wi-Fi throughout the house.
For the whole family, there are many other services and activities within easy walking distance: Bogue Inlet Pier, the Food Lion and Publix grocery stores, the ABC store, a coffee shop, a hardware store with fishing supplies and beach equipment, restaurants, a movie theater, surf shops, and numerous specialty stores. Extensive paved bike/walk paths make exploring more distant shops, services and scenery a breeze. Other adventures await you a short drive away: boat & kayak rentals, charter fishing, historic Swansboro and Beaufort, the NC Aquarium, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, Cedar Point Park, Hammocks Beach State Park, Fort Macon State Park, cruises to Cape Lookout and dolphin-watch cruises. And don't forget the wonderful walk along the beach to Bogue Inlet at the western end of the island.

Great location, right on the beach. Lots of room for everyone and loved the top floor view. The deck furniture was kinda weathered and old, with paint peeling on the table. Couldn't eat outside on the deck because of sand fleas/gnats But the beach was gorgeous, the water was warm and that was the whole reason for our visit.

Great stay-clean, no complaints! I do believe the photos of the place that are listed were for the east side, not the west, but the layout and number of rooms/bathrooms was the same so it was fine.

We had a lovely stay here. Within minutes of checking in our two youngest boys, 11 and 15, claimed the very top floor for themselves. It gave us all our own space to enjoy, our two oldest boys stayed on the first floor, and we took the middle. We could convene in the middle for family time, and then enjoy our own separate spaces at other times. The views were fantastic and the beach within steps of the condo. A wonderful and relaxing stay for us all.

Very large and well furnished house on the beachfront. Within 6 mins walk to grocery and shopping. House definitely does have a lot of steep and narrow stairs as listed on the advertisement. Unfortunately despite the house being large and with nice furniture and a full kitchen, it was dirty and not well maintained. The owner was great to work with but the local property management company is obviously not doing a good job. The house was not cleaned, lights burnt out, our window didn't close, blinds broken, lots of dust and dirt everywhere. I would rent from the owner again but never through Bluewater management if this is the standard they accept.
