About this house rental
This beautiful traditional Charentais farmhouse was build around the mid 1800’s and was originally used as a farm for chickens and turkeys, in the early 1990’s it was then sold to an English gentleman who renovated the farm to become his home, he built an extension that has now become the holiday home /gite.
There are only 4 properties in the hamlet, that is well away from the main road and surrounded by the beautiful French countryside.
The grounds surround the whole house and is divided off for privacy for guests, although the hosts This beautiful traditional live on the property they cannot be seen and the gite garden is completely enclosed and very large.
There is also a fenced off pond for safety with seating area to view, and waterfall. The pond has koi Karp and goldfish these fish are our pets .
Security Deposit: A €300 security deposit is required on arrival in cash.
The deposit will be returned on the day of departure after a property inspection has been carried out providing there has been no breakages.

We had a delightful time with our family of 5, we enjoyed the pool, the garden, patio and pingpong table, we had everything we need and the host was very helpful and thoughtful. We will visit again!

This is a beautiful gite in rural Charente-Maritime. It's close to some really pretty towns and to a number of excellent swimming lakes.
We are family of six (grandparents, parents, two children) and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all of us. It's really child-friendly with exclusive use of the pool, ping-pong table and a wide variety of games and toys.
Everything in the gite is of really high quality (towels, linen etc) and the kitchen is well laid out with a wide range of crockery, cooking utensils, glasses etc. This is a gite in which you really can cook easily for a large family. Everything you need is there.
Liz made all the arrangements which were clear and simple. She and Bones were welcoming and friendly throughout.
We have been staying in gites for over 20 years and have never before stayed in one so beautiful and so well-equipped. We all loved it.

Firstly I would like to thank Liz and Bones for making us feel so welcome. Everything you need for a week or two away is supplied. The Gite was clean and garden was beautiful, the heated pool was just what was need after exploring the local villages. The only negative comment would be we didn’t want to leave. We would definitely return and will recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.
