About this lodge
Raasay is situated next to the childrens play area, so if you have small children that you want to keep an eye on while they are playing on the swings this is a great lodge for you. If you don’t like the sound of children playing you should avoid this lodge during school holidays!
In the second half of May the woods next to Raasay are carpeted in Scottish Bluebells. It is a beautiful sight and smells fantastic on a sunny day.

From Duirinish cross the bridge following the signs towards Plockton, after about 200 yards turn right towards Achmore and Strome Ferry. One hundred yards down the road just after a cattle grid you will see the entrance to Duirinish Holiday Lodges on the right.
Approaching from Inverness and the north on the A890. One hundred yards beyond a sign to the right saying ‘Strome Ferry (no ferry)’ you should turn right into the village of Achmore, also signposted to Plockton. Stay on this single track road for approximately 4 miles (ignore the right turn to Plockton after about 3 miles). You will go past a small loch on your left and about half a mile later you will come to a cattle grid just around a bend. We are on the left just before the cattle grid.
