"MORANDE" grande maison avec Piscine Chauffée

Morande is a large well positioned property perfect for a group of eight persons. Situated in the popular and pretty area of La Noue in Sainte-Marie-de-Re. The property is convenient for La Rochelle airport (car hire and/or Bus Shuttle), local shops and cafes. La Flotte and Saint Martin are close by. The property has 4 bedrooms with 3 en-suites. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern amenities, including 3 vacuum cleaners! A good sized swimming pool and hot tub, boule track & bicycles for hire. Off street parking is available. There are plenty loungers and chairs/tables for outside living.

The only downside we encountered during our stay was the maintenance of some minor items within the property. The pool needed attention during the week as the water became cloudy and green due to a lack of chlorine and filtration. This was quickly remedied when mentioned. A number of small items need attention – wonky fans, lightbulbs not working, shower heads in need of cleaning, one washbasin (left hand one) leaking and the tumble dryer sounds horrendous! We appreciate this was a busy ‘handover’ time. We did arrive at La Rochelle at 10.00 and gained access at 14.00. However we returned home, we did leave the property at 06.30 a week later to catch our flight. So plenty time to put matters right!

The facilities were great, everything we needed, kitchen utensils very good. Clean and tidy. We recieved clear instuctions regarding getting the keys, we were met on time at the property as arranged. We had a small problem with the pool which we reported to the hosts, they attended within 20 minutes and fully resolved the issue. The location is perfect, small well stocked supermarket less than 100 yards from the front door. The whole area is surrounded with cycle lanes, bikes are a must ! We didn't touch our cars from the moment we arried until we left. Hosts provided bikes for us (small fee) which were left at the villa waiting for us when we arrived.

There wasn't anything not to like.

C’est une maison vraiment bien équipée avec une disposition judicieuse des chambres qui ont chacune une salle de bain et des toilettes La piscine est bien sécurisée pour les enfants . Il faut penser aux boules de pétanque . Un petit plus avec le jacuzzi.

great location in quiet village. a minutes walk to supermarket and 3 minutes to nearest bakery/bike rental/cafes. 10 mins walk to beach

the property had no basic amenities, we stayed for a week and we had to buy all the basics (salt, pepper, cloths to wipe surface, washing up liquid etc). normally with these holiday rentals we would expect this stuff to be there, otherwise lots of stuff is going to waste - we are never going to get through a salt and pepper in a week. How are we meant to keep a property clean if no cleaning stuff is provided, not even something to wipe a surface!
