Ile de Re is a great place to stay and there was plenty to do for 3 generations of the family (8 adults, 6 children). There is a free bus service around the island and there are lots of cycle routes.The villa is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, large communal areas and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bedrooms are large with plenty of storage space. We had excellent service from our rep Melanie; one of the sinks started to leak but it was repaired the same day.The pool has a shallow end, fine for 4-7 year olds to play and okay for adults to do a few (short) lengths. The local beach, 50m approx. has sand, stones and rock pools. Further up the coast are beaches for swimming and sailing. St Marie is quieter than other villages/towns but has an excellent bakery, restaurants, market and a supermarket.

Lovely property, we felt very at home. The setting is perfect for a quiet break but also easily accessible for all amenities. The outdoor area is lovely for relaxing and sitting under the shade of the olive tree when its hot is a must. The communication with the hosts was exceptional and they kept us up to date when there was an issue with the pool cover and a delivery. I highly recommend this property and host.

The villa was exactly as described and perfect for us a family of 12 with a wide age range.
The local village is a very pleasant cycle ride away and would recommend bike hire.
Peaceful location and lovely pool.
Owner and cleaner very helpful.

We had a great family get together, the house was perfect for a big group. Getting around the island was easy by bike or by car and there were plenty of options for local runs or walks.
