Carriage Lodge - Stunning Apartment with parking

Great location and loads of parking. Host gave easy to follow steps on how to get there, as well as how to gain access to the holiday let. Good amenities inside and the bed was comfortable. Smart TV was handy to keep entertained in the evenings (staying away for work).

The drain was blocked outside which caused the shower and toilet to be slow to drain away, no smells indoors but the outside area was strong. The host was quick to contact me back and can’t fault the communication.

Was a lovely little carriage, was perfect for what we needed it for

Only downside was a little privacy needed for the outside seating area, it’s situated between the carriage and main house and maybe a larger bathroom mat as the shower does spray out of the opening of the shower making the floor very slippery but other then that it was a beautiful little place.

The concept is great, I think it just needs to be a little cleaned up.

The property was quite difficult to find, I'd recommend a map pin, as the instructions didn't make too much sense. The Wifi didn't work, I ended up trying to use my data, it was that bad. I understand it's a small village, but it was really hard to even stay on the wifi! The place wasn't very clean; there were a few rogue slugs & spiders (which I cleaned instead of taking a photo), as well as lots of hair and possible food on the floor. I tried to contact them a few times (once to find the place, but the signal wasn't great), and another time to ask about the stove, but I received no reply either time. On my first evening, around 11pm, a little boy walked into the place, which was very surprising! He was apologetic, but it was clear that there had been a miscommunication on the family's part. They only offered one towel, and honestly, it was the most crispy old towel; it was disappointing. The stove top didn't work, I tried to reach out - but it was quite late into my booking - and no reply. So I didn't get to cook. The remote for the light wasn't working in the living room, and there were big stains on the Sofa which I didn't want to sit on. I'm a little disappointed at the price point for this place. I picked this mainly so that I could cook, but that wasn't an option as it wasn't working.
