Serenity Village

Lovely apartment in an idyllic tranquil location just outside of the village of Apeiranthos. On the grounds are many fruit, nut and olive trees and sheep graze the grounds in front of the apartment. Comes with private parking which you definitely don’t find everywhere on the island. Especially when traveling with a good amount of luggage or if you have difficulty walking this is a big plus. Seems they offer cleaning every two days, but we declined. Left a carrot cake and some fruit for our arrival, which was a nice gesture. Host was very friendly and responsive.

We stayed for 4 nights, but only had a warm shower on our first morning. The other three the water was close to cold. Apparently the hot water is set up to work with solar panels, but since after our day of arrival it was cloudy, this didn’t work. After the second day of cold showers we did contact the host and she came to make some adjustments, but it didn’t seem sufficient, cause the next day we only had hot water for a few minutes and had to jump out the shower. I wish the host would have anticipated on the solar panels not working and wouldn’t have waited for us to contact her. Although the apartment does provide essential to cook your own meals, the space is quite small and doesn’t invite you to actually do so. There is for instance no counter space to do any prepping. There seem to be two apartments, a one and two bedroom apartment. Although we stayed in the two bedroom apartment, it seems living space and kitchen are bigger in the one bedroom apartment. Unfortunately it was quite cold when we stayed at the apartment. To make it possible to enjoy the lovely outdoor area on cold days too, I would recommend some blankets to wrap around you for sitting outside.

Everything. There are trees all around, fruits to pick from! Mikkk cooking, I could comfortable cook for my toddler and he loved playing around the area. The sound of nature, the cattle bells. Amazing for a perfect relaxation. Its around 45 mins drive from the port. We loved it. Would get back again.!
