So many little corners to find, we loved it and made ourselves at home well.

If you’re a light sleeper the front rooms are on the street so a bit noisy. Mind your head on some of the doors also but this is part of the character of the house which we liked

Lovely old building great location but several maintenance issues.

Size and unique of the building. The hot tub was great for the family

Several faults leaking shower, and electrical problems. Called maintenance number re leak never heard back from them. The building would not suit people with walking problems. Lots of steps and change of levels.

An amazing house with lots of space.

A very nice house that kept surprising us. We used it for a small team meeting and it gave a nice balance of meeting, recreation and sleeping space. Close to town for going out, cheap parking only a short walk away.

On main road, a little noisy in the front bedrooms at night. I'd go back again though as this was the only detractor.

The stunning decor, the wide range of the facilties, the design and comfort of the rooms, the proximity to the town, the beautiful setting in the shadow of the church and the kind attention of the owner. None of it could be faulted and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

A magical, enchanting stay we thoroughly loved

I absolutely loved the whole property. The owners have really taken the time and care to decorate everything to be amazing. It is a beautiful old building with every room having its own quirk which really does make the place feel magical. I cannot praise the owners enough for making our stay special. thank you!

The only thing I would say is there are a couple of stairs (to second floor and basement) which can be a bit scary. Not recommended for those scared of heights or unsteady on their feet.

Amazing, luxurious, perfect

The house was even more beautiful than we imagined. The hosts have literally thought of everything, there are so many beautiful features throughout. There has been no expense spared with the furnishings, the house is indulgent. Everyone from young to old was catered for. The hidden surprises for the children were so unexpected and gave us magical moments and the best memories to treasure. We are so overwhelmed with how amazing our stay was, the welcome hamper and card and the communication from the hosts gave us the warmest welcome. The games room and cinema were huge hits, the comfort of the lounge and the beds, the hot-tub, it just goes on! You will not find somewhere else quite like this. It is completely unique, luxurious and unbelievable value for money.

A totally magical big birthday celebration

It was simply magical! What an incredible old house that has been so tastefully refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Versace wallpaper of dreams and the most stunning radiators I've ever seen. From the roll top bath to the ornate beds and the decadent tiles, no design feature has been overlooked. The house was incredibly well stocked with essentials and little luxuries. We felt thoroughly spoiled and looked after. The children were in their element. The hot tub was delightful and we had amazing fun in the cinema room singing karaoke and watching movies and teaching the children to play pool. The kitchen is fantastically well equipped with loads of cutlery, crockery and fantastic cookware. Damian is so lovely to deal with and we couldn't have asked for more. We will 100% be back.

I would say the only (slight) issues were that our children are all quite young and so sleeping up on the top floor with the spiral space-saving staircase wasn't practical. So we had to find a way to put them up in the big rooms on the first floor. This was ok, we found a spare mattress and we had plenty of beds and sofas. But just something to bear in mind if you're at full capacity. A retractable stair gate at the top of the stairs on the first floor and going down to the basement would be a great safety feature and allow families to relax a bit more. Maybe a baby monitor, too, so you could put a child to bed on the top floor and keep an ear out for them. The ladies of the house would also have loved a dressing table with a mirror or somewhere to sit and do their hair and makeup. Just one little touch that we felt was missing! Also, some adjustable lighting in the reception rooms. Just a few lamps and it would be absolutely faultless.

This place is amazing! Highly recommend for big groups/family trips

The house was absolutely stunning, renovated to the highest standard. The outdoor area with the bbq and hot tub were great to spend time with the group. Each bedroom had its own feel and were exceptionally clean and comfortable. I couldnt recommend this place enough!!
