Lacasita Near Beach Huahin (Room564)

There's obviously a community at Lacasita, and perhaps, if you wanted a long stay, you'd enjoy time by the pool. Location is good, and Hua Hin Kitchen just outside the complex is well known, and good food. Short walk to Market Village too. Owner seemed to communicate well.

But..you wouldn't want a long stay here. No hand towels, no soap, an unusable sofa, poor bedding, single refill of shampoo / body gel all in one. The room is as basic as it gets. Maybe owner started out with good intentions but over time it's now bare minimum accommodation. There's no love given to this place. We had to request water for our second day, as only 2 small bottles provided. It's lack lustre. It's just quite simply overpriced for what you can get here in Hua Hin. My usual hotel stay was booked for the Saturday hence booking here. Upon changing to the hotel, the difference is night and day (and cheaper!) what you can expect for this price range. How it got 9 / 10 ratings on some reviews here I have no idea. No idea if there's a maid / room service for longer stays either. Plus, I totally over looked over the fact this is private residence, and I'm not in agreement for short stay rentals in these places, as somone who's lived long term in condos around Thailand over the years. I wouldn't normally be so hard in a review, but I booked based on the high rating - but after staying there, I truly feel it's not deserved at the price I paid. Sorry.
