Walk just 400 steps from the front door to a staircase leading to Salt Works Beach, a private association beach located in between Sunken Meadow and Cooks Brook Beaches. This private stretch of sandy beach, with great views, soft sand, warm water, and calm waves is perfect for families with small children. During low tide, the beach opens up, allowing you to walk out, seemingly forever, onto the exposed flats and explore the tidal pools, not to mention the AMAZING sunsets you will see.
The main areas of the home are on the second floor, including a bright and open kitchen, dining, and living area with walls of sliding glass doors and large windows to maximize views of the water. The top level deck facing the bay is the perfect place to eat meals, sip beverages, or just relax and enjoy the gorgeous views and ocean breeze. From the kitchen, you can enter another living area with vaulted ceilings, comfortable leather couch seating, a flat screen TV, gas fireplace, and more large windows looking out onto the water. This floor also includes a full bath with a tub/shower combo and another half bath.

This was the perfect place for the 6 of us adults with 2 infants and 2 dogs. The house had everything we needed and Del Mar customer service was super accommodating and friendly. We had a leaky sink and they fixed it quickly including buying a new part. Everything was clean and comfortable and nicely maintained. The views off the balcony were beautiful, and the pristine beach was a short walk away. We would be happy to rent this property again when we’re in the area.

Beautiful location, but…Five stars for the location: Unobstructed views , a short walk, past two other homes, to the private beach, an easy drive to Orleans and Wellfleet. You aren’t right on the water — which is hard to tell from some of the photos — but you can see the bay from the windows that face it. Four out of five stars for the house, which was clean and spacious. The beds and couches were comfortable. But other than the basics, the house had minimal furnishings and the weirdest layout I’ve ever seen: three “front” doors. Three separate foyers. Two staircases, and a setup where, to get from parts of the first floor to the laundry room, you have to go up Staircase One and down Staircase Two — or walk through a bedrooms. And although this was billed as one of Del Mar’s “premium” properties, it felt less high-end and more “we renovated in 2003 on a budget and no one’s updated since.”And three out of five stars for the rental company. The house was missing things that should be, and once were, standard, like beach towels, and brooms and dustpan. My guess is that the company wants you to pay for its cleaning services, and its 170 “beach fun package,” with chairs, cooler and towel. When you’re paying upwards of 1000 a night it’s no fun being nickeled and dimed.

Location was wonderful, in a part of the Cape that I'd never explored before. House was lovely, spacious, and well designed. Felt secluded and nestled in trees but had a lovely view of the water and the sunset. Del Mar staff were prompt and diligent with all communication, and resolved issues immediately. Would happily stay here again.
