Skites Hotel Bungalows

This place is magical. There is no noise, no crowds. You are staying in a beautiful garden, and all you have to do is enjoy swimming in the sea or in the pool. You can place your chair on the grass, under a sun umbrella or under a tree. There is also a beautiful wooden deck above the beach. It is a pity that last winter the sea destroyed part of the jetty. The rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of details that take you back to some old times and make you feel at home. The main building where the reception and restaurant are located is also like that. Everything is arranged and decorated as if you are in a museum, but with the warmth of a home. Breakfast is a special experience. Everything is delicious, beautifully served, and the highlight is the bread just out of the oven. At the end of our stay, Karin gave us the addresses of the shops where she buys olives, honey, and wonderful bergamot jam. Thank you, Karin. You and your team provided us with a wonderful ten days.

Despite the Google instructions, we didn't walk to Ouranopolis because the road is a dirt road and doesn't look very safe to walk on. But we still walked to the remains of the Zygos monastery and the border with Mount Athos.

Skites is a special place. It lives up to its name. We enjoyed very much its serenity and great hospitality. Lots of style and personality in the details. We would love to go back.

The WiFi in our room could have been better.

Très bel emplacement pour cet hôtel de charme. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et présentés avec raffinement. La vue sur la mer et le calme sont les 2 atouts de cet hébergement.

Manque de personnel : 1-restaurant fermé, nous obligeant à faire 4 km aller et retour, deux fois par jour pour rejoindre les restaurants de la station balnéaire 2- équipements vétustes : douche vieillotte dans la chambre, rebords de piscine et ponton en piteux état 3- le lit n'a pas été fait tous les jours Manque de propreté pour le linge de lit ( oreillers tachés) Suite à ces remarques, le prix des chambres ne se justifie pas : très mauvais rapport qualité/ prix
