About this cabin rental

Campfires and Cornbread is a stunning brand new dog-friendly cabin in the Wears Valley area located just a few minutes from the Foothills Parkway and close to the park entrance of The Great Smoky Mountains. Stepping inside this cabin you'll immediately appreciate the attention to detail such as all the natural light from the large windows, a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a seasonal (Oct 1- April 1) gas fireplace. There are two king bedrooms on the main level with built-in shelves and luggage racks and both bathrooms offer luxury walk-in showers with large showerheads. Upstairs in the loft, you will find a game room with an air hockey table, a queen bed, tv, and extra seating so family and friends can spread out. The large outdoor space is just as stunning as the inside. Gather around the fire pit and enjoy roasting marshmallows and telling stories or soak in the hot tub while taking in breathtaking mountain views. There's also plenty of flat parking! During the summer months, you will have free access to the nearby Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli. Guests will be able to enjoy the pool, picnic tables, full-service deli & grill along with a catch-and-release pond. This cabin has everything you need for a true Smoky Mountain vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay! It felt like we were at home! The road up to the cabin was very steep ,but it felt very private at a dead end road. The surrounding towns had a lot to offer!

We had an amazing time at Campfires and Cornbread! One of the highlights for me was picking blackberries just outside the cabin with my grandchildren. We brought our Great Dane with us and I was prepared to keep her on a leash while outside but she did not need to be. She enjoyed hanging out on the porch with us. We spent a lot of time at the cabin just relaxing and playing games. We had everything we needed right there. We did not see any bears but there was a deer and 3 turkeys. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

The location has a beautiful view of the nearby mountains. The drive to the cabin does require a 4x4 vehicle. It’s a windy road. Upon arrival, I had a door code but no instructions on how to get into the cabin. For a first-timer, it could not be obvious. There is a lock on the porch and then the door lock. I would encourage a bit more clarity for future visitors. Upon arrival, the cabin has a cozy vibe. It’s a perfect cabin for a family of 5 people. The heating and ventilation are not working in the first main room near the front door. The cabin is well-equipped with cooking appliances. I would highly recommend additional linens and towels during one’s stay. Especially in time of fall when temperatures are low and cold. The management company provides references for great nearby restaurants. They were proactive in extending our stay. During our visit, we had to leave for medical reasons, and they did not refund us for the days we did not occupy the cabin after all.
