About this bed and breakfast
Enjoy peaceful Big Island Hawaii in a Contemporary Hawaiian Bed & Breakfast set in a Tropical Rainforest directly outside Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. The custom designed & built Craftsman Cottage style home features artisan beds with fine linens, private baths, cozy fireplaces and a tropical breakfast.
We are nestled in a native Hawaiian rain forest in Mauna Loa Estates with giant ferns and Ohia trees in the storybook arts community of Volcano Village.
Named after the legendary warrior, the Ohia tree graces much of the Volcano rainforest. It is the strongest and tallest tree in the area and its branches will often be covered with the beautiful Lehua flowers. In the Ohia loft, you will find a serene retreat to after the day’s adventures. The window overlooks the lush rainforest filled with Hapu’u ferns, wild ginger and, of course, the impressive Ohia trees. Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and perhaps catch a glance of the many pheasants that enjoy roaming in and out of the property. This charming room is the ideal place to relax and enjoy your Hawaiian vacation.

Very nice place, location is great for a visit to the Volcano area. Owners were timely and helpful with our request for information. Although we did not get to meet Sarah, she was on vacation, her lovely aunt Lila filled in. The breakfast in the morning was great, with a lot of delicious options, the fruit bowl each morning was awesome. My husband fell in love with the sandwich maker and it started the day off wonderfully. There was no coffee maker in our small room but Lila found one for me as I was always up early and needing my coffee. The other guests were fun to chat with. We all talked about our escapades with the airlines. We would visit again.
