About this house rental

Summer construction 2025!
One important note - our street is currently under construction. The heavy work in front of our house could be up to 3 weeks. August 25th through September 12th. We will be directing our guests to park in the back yard during this time. You will be provided with photos explaining accessibility.

This beautiful two-story home located on a quiet, brick-paved street in the heart of Sugarcreek is perfect for any getaway! Built in the 1930s, this home has great charming character. Like slightly steeper stairs, to the bedrooms, and a few inconveniently placed light switches. Which is common for such homes.
Only a short walk, Downtown Sugarcreek features The World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock. Ohio's "Little Switzerland" has several unique shops, sure to offer a wonderful experience for everyone!

Need some R&R? Got you covered. There’s no need to leave the house! This space offers a full kitchen, for making your own meals. Enjoy the complimentary light snacks! Put your feet up and unwind in the comfortable, open design of the kitchen and living room.

Log into your favorite streaming app and catch up on all your shows on the provided Smart TV, or browse for something new on the 120+ cable channels on the Spectrum TV app (both TVs)! Can’t agree on a movie? Connect to the Wi-fi and do your own thing.

Toiletries such as towels, soap, a hair dryer, and toilet paper are provided in the combination bathroom and laundry room.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor and come with linens, pillows, and alarm clocks. The master bedroom sports a walk-in closet with plenty of room for all your travel accessories and a Smart TV for those lazy days when you just don’t feel like getting up.

Craving a little adventure? Look no further! Enjoy the local attractions, such as the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock located just a short walk away in Sugarcreek’s Little Switzerland.

This was a great location! Walking distance to Park Street Pizza & close to many greenhouses which we visited. We enjoy gardening & shopped till we dropped & ended the day at Baltic Mill Winery. Nice front porch on this unit. Very clean. Tony was very attentive. Advised us in advance of roadwork on their street and checked to see how it went with parking. Home had everything we needed. Very friendly safe area.

This was a girl trip to go to The Farm at Walnut Creek, and to just venture around at shops and thrift stores we find. Had a great time, but it just wasn't long enough, so we are gonna go again soon. I have to say our stay at the house we rented through VRBO was great! Tony was very pleasant to deal with, easy to get a hold of, and helped me with all my questions. The house was very clean and comfortable and had every thing we needed for our stay. The only negative thing I have is that the railing did not go clear to the top of the stairs. Otherwise we would definitely stay there again!!!!

Enjoyed our three night stay here. The town is cute and the house was sparkling clean. Tony was very communicative and extra details like having the sidewalks shoveled, heater on, snacks provided and more made the stay top notch. Highly recommend!

Wonderful location… clean and had 3 bedrooms to accommodate 3 couples comfortably… we had 3 couples boys went fishing on lake buckhorn and girls went shopping in Sugarcreek and Berlin.. Will definitely be back!

We planned a girls trip to Berlin Ohio, Sugarcreek, Walnut Creek and so on. We searched a few places and came across this one. Tony our host, couldn't have been any more accommodating. There was coffee, snacks and his amenities were perfect for us. The place was clean and the neighborhood was very safe. We will definitely be back next fall. We had a wonderful time and this house was very comfortable except that all the bedrooms were upstairs..me and husband are both in our 70s and our friend is in her 60s so we had a small problem with the stairs and suitcases. But the house is clean and comfortable,in a nice neighborhood. Close to town and all the shops. Will be back next year for more fun.

Several shops are located within walking distance. The bulk food store and Purple Fairy were amazing little stores and the world’s largest coo-coo clock was definitely an added bonus!

First of all, Sugarcreek is adorable! It is just a bit east of Berlin & Walnut creek and much more residential but has lots of fun architecture. You can walk to the downtown area from this house, no problem. We went at the end of March for Spring Break and unfortunately, lots of the little shops were closed. Make sure you stop by the little bulk store on the way out and bring a cooler to take home all the yummy cheeses. Now the actual house... it was perfect for our stay. The host was easily contactable,and the house was very clean and comfortable. They even had a few snacks which was great since there aren't really stores close by. We traveled with 2 sisters and a 12, 10 and 4 yrs old. Our favorite things were the Coblentz Chocolate store, Herschberger's Farm (do the petting zoo! It is great!), and dinner at Dutch Valley. Bring everything you need with you but if you really need to go to a regular store, New Philadelphia is about 10 minutes east. We had no complaints about our stay at all. My only note is that the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs and, man, those stairs are steep and it is dark in there! Leave the livingroom light on when you go to bed or getting up in the middle of the night is a lesson in bravery. :) Thank you for your hospitality!

This is a beautiful little place. Nicely decorated and newly renovated. 3 friends spent 2 nights. Bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is on main level but wasn't a problem for us. Close to many attractions in Amish country! We would go back!!

There are 4 sisters. We loved the home, the location and accommodations. The brick street was so nostalgic-allowed us to hear the trotting of the horses in the neighborhood. The homey atmosphere was perfect after long days of hitting Amish shops! Very enjoyable. Thank you for the fun and memories. We will be back.

Overall great experience. Location was convenient for a girls shopping trip. The house was updated, we’ll equipped and very clean. Water bottles in the refrigerator, snacks and coffee and creamer were a nice touch. Beds were comfortable. Host was very responsive and helpful. The only concerns we’re parking in the driveway and around back was a little tight and the stairs to the upstairs are a little steep. All in all we would stay here again.

Tony was excellent with communication. The home was clean. We had the things we needed for a short stay. The location was easy to get to for Amish country area things to do-- it's 15 minutes from Berlin OH. Note that this is an old house with some nice updates; all bedrooms are upstairs and the 1 bathroom is downstairs. The only issues we had were that the stairs were very squeaky!! You couldn't sneak downstairs without waking someone else up. And the beds were uncomfortable for us, they were very firm.

Nice older house. Steep driveway and narrow stairs in house. Stairs could use an extended hand rail. Cute front porch with gliders. Nice back porch also. Bedrooms had fans even though house has central air. Nice touch. We enjoyed our stay. House is located in quiet area also.

Stayed here for a fun weekend with girlfriends to explore Sugar Creek and surrounding area. Great location. Enough space for 5 friends to cook and eat in the kitchen for breakfast in the morning and lounge, hang out, and watch movies in the evening. Communication with host was easy and he took care of questions promptly.

This house was very comfortable for 4 adults and located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Sugarcreek. The beds slept well and the whole house A/C was welcomed. This is the second time that we have stayed here and will likely stay again if it's available.
