The house was very comfortable and clean! With a dog, having the top- and middle-level decks blocked off was very convenient. The boardwalk to the beach and paths around the house were well maintained and made it easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again on a future visit!

The house and location was absolutely breathtaking. We could not get enough of the view. The size of the house fit out family well for 6 adults and 1 teen ager.
We did do a lot of cleaning to the place. First of all, in the main bedroom, the sheets were soiled and bed spread as they had dog hair on them. We did notify the office and new sheets and spread were sent over. We had to make the bed. Also, in that bedroom the carpet was not vacuumed for a while so my son vacuumed the carpet 5 times till almost all dirt and dog hair was removed..
As for the rest of the floors we did run the vacuum over them.
Toilets and sinks were dirty. I purchased a cheep toilet brush from the Doller General and when toilets were brushed there was filthy dirt up under the rim of the toilets. And the bathroom sinks had filth up under the top rims also.
Upon checking the kitchen sink, that had filth over the whole sink and was cleaned before we dare do any dishes. And the refrigerator handles were sticky. We ended up purchasing a new sink drainer (for about $5.00) as the one in the sink was broken. I would hate to see what water would look like if the floors were mopped. (we did not mop)
We ended up leaving the house a lot cleaner than we found it. (and we did pay a cleaning fee).
There was not an ample supply of toilet paper, paper towels and tissues supplied.

Loved our visit. Pictures very accurate. Well appointed. Great location and views. Having a pool and hot tub was a great benefit but having an elevator was outstanding!! Would book again!

Our stay at Castle in the Sand was great. The views were breathtaking. The house was not at spacious as the pics lead you to believe. It is unnecessarily cramped with very large furniture. The house has a pool, but found out once arriving we would only be able to use it for 2 days then it would be closed. Calls were made about issues with the house such as ice maker not working, faucet in kitchen broken, locks missing on doors. Someone came and took pics on our second day, but nothing was ever fixed.
All in all it was a great 2 weeks, but the house is not worth the price.
