Rumi Hostel

Staff, comfortable, location, plenty of clean bathrooms and showers all with excellent water pressure and hot water. Market and cafe and shopping center a pleasant 15 minute walk from hostel.

The washer dryer set up that’s shared with the apartment next door didn’t work too well. Fortunately there is a drying closet in the basement of the hostel.

On my first night I stayed in the dorm, which I only recommend if you are a young student. However, on my other days I stayed in the private room and that was really great! The private rooms have their own kitchen area that turned out to be a great place for me to relax after a full day of activities. It felt like I had my own little apartment in Trondheim for a couple days. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. They recommended the Havet sauna 15 min walk from the hostel (a must!!). Will come back if I return to Trondheim!

Would’ve been helpful if there’s also a microwave in the private room kitchen. The air was also very dry in the room, but I think that’s a problem in every Norwegian building in winter (humidifier would perhaps solve it).
