Loved this place. Its secluded, but has several other residences on the site. We were one of perhaps four guests at the time, and we hardly saw - and didn't hear - anyone else while we were there. The scenery is fantastic, and the information given us by the proprietors was absolutely everything we needed. We toured Terlingua (fun), used the pool at the Longhorn Motel and Restaurant (we were the only people in the pool) and toured the hills surrounding Big Bend. Highly recommend, one of the best places we have stayed, and we will be going back - with friends!

XB is fantastic! It is located in a beautiful spot perfect for rest and relaxation. Stargazing at night was also amazing. The convenience of the Cantina really helped keep our costs down and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend it and if we come back to the area, we would stay here again!

Overall experience was great. I have stayed here before. The post office is newer and looks cleaner. I stayed at the schoolhouse this time. Great location, near the cantina. The only issue we ran into was that the AC was off when we checked in. The room got cold at night despite it being 117 during the day.

Drove about 2 miles off road on rough dirt road.
No lights in parking area.
No one on site to assist.
Room was agreeable but pricey
They add cleaning fees before we got there
