This was our first VRBO stay, and the host set the bar incredibly high! We traveled as a family of four with two young gymnasts competing at the Greensboro Coliseum, plus our Samoyed.Check-in was easy, the house was very clean, and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked with snacks, drinks, and condiments. Our dog loved the large backyard, made easily accessible by a convenient doggy door.Our biggest impression came from the host's outstanding service. We noticed a daybed was missing a comforter and messaged the owner, Richard. By the time we returned from a quick trip into town, a brand-new comforter set, a case of water, and cookies were waiting at the door. Truly an amazing gesture!Highlights:Exceptional Host: Attentive and quick to respond.Perfect Location: Every landmark seemed to be a 5-10 minute drive, like the Coliseum, shopping, restaurants, arcade, downtown, Costco, whatever.Great Amenities: Comfortable beds, kid games, and all necessities included.Very Dog-Friendly: Secured, spacious yard.Safe Neighborhood: Quiet area across from a school.Minor Suggestions: Adding a usable mop and a kitchen garbage disposal would be great additions.Overall, a perfect 10/10 stay. We will absolutely book this property again if we return to Greensboro!

This is our fourth year staying at Amelia’s Retreat for a competition at the coliseum. Always clean, comfortable and welcoming! Super convenient location for coliseum and grocery stores close by. I already booked for next year:).

I give this property an 80 grade. It would receive a 99.9 if not for the fact that when I reserved this property in March 2026, it listed as sleeping 6 and stated a double futon was available. That piece of furniture was needed for my stay and was not available. I also rated the property with an 80 instead of 99 because there were no bannisters available on the steps which are steep. The guests in my party were all senior citizens except one and bannisters were needed. The positively exceptional points of this property are that the rooms were immaculately clean, and all linens toiletries and cleaning items were abundantly supplied. I was pleasantly surprise to find a few snacks furnished. The refrigerator has a large ice maker and the washing machine is huge with detergent and fabric softener available. The interior of the residence suggests coolness and calmness. Add banisters to the front and back for your senior guests safety, delete the info re double futon being included in the listing and your property wouybe a 99.9 %

Nice place.Location was good It was cleanInstructions ahead of time were perfectOutdoor space was really nice. We didn’t spend a lot of time here. A few things would make it great. 1. Renovations and updates didn’t look complete. Looks like a few corners were cut on the updates2. Electrical wasn’t functioning at its best.
