Villa Narlibahce

We recently stayed at Villa Narlibahce in Dalyan, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The villa truly feels like a home away from home. Inside, it features a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, four comfortable bedrooms, and air conditioning throughout. It was spotlessly clean, immaculate, and equipped with all the essential modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix and YouTube, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Arriving to a thoughtful welcome pack of bottled water, snacks, and biscuits to see us through our first day was such a lovely touch! ​The outdoor space is just as special. There is a charming front veranda and a covered outdoor dining area perfect for meals al fresco. The swimming pool is surrounded by comfortable sunbeds and a parasol, set against a backdrop of pomegranate trees that make the property feel private and secluded. ​Location-wise, it offers the perfect balance of peace and convenience. It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Dalyan’s restaurants and shops, and just a short drive to local Roman ruins and beach. ​What elevates Villa Narlibahce from great to unforgettable, however, are the hosts. Avni and his wife are truly wonderful, caring, and attentive people. They were always available on WhatsApp with fantastic recommendations and local guidance. We have rarely encountered owners so genuine and generous—their hospitality makes you want to book your next return stay without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt von Anfang bis Ende sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft war makellos sauber und die Aussicht einfach traumhaft. Herr Avni und Frau Fügen sind unglaublich herzliche, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Sie waren jederzeit erreichbar und haben sich liebevoll darum gekümmert, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. In der Unterkunft wurde wirklich an alles gedacht – sie ist bestens ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Auch die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich sehr angenehm macht. Wir haben uns rundum willkommen und wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Nichts

The house is absolutely wonderful. It is well-maintained and impeccably clean. Very pleasant for a family. The backdrop of the mountains creates very scenic surroundings. The owners are very attentive and responsive people. The house is located close to Dalyan (about a 10 minute drive from the very centre of the town).

Lack of shutters in the bedrooms. Everything else was great.

We stayed a week in June with extended family, 8 people in total and had a great holiday. The house is just as described, there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook at home. Also we appreciated some extras like snacks, coffee, tea, tissues etc. It would have been helpful to have laundry detergent provided as there is a washing machine but we picked some up from a local store. The pool is a good size and well maintained, the kids had a lot of fun there in the afternoons. We enjoyed having outdoor seating areas to enjoy the breeze in the morning and late afternoon. The villa has air-conditioning which we only needed in the middle of the day. The garden is extensive and surrounded by mountains, it's really very beautiful. The location is away from the town so very quiet and peaceful. Our host Mr Avni was very helpful both before we arrived and after and always available on WhatsApp if we needed anything. He recommended that we rent a car because of the distance to town, which we did and was definitely needed. There is a great beach nearby (Iztuzu, 20min by car) and Dalyan town is a 5 min drive, we really liked this small town and found good restaurants and cafes as well as grocery shops, there's also a market on Saturday. All in all this villa was one of our favourite places in Turkey.

The only negative is how to access the villa. There doesn't seem to be any pedestrian entrance. There is a large gate for a car to drive in, this gate is operated by remote control, however there is only one remote. So if some people go out and take the remote, the people in the house can't get out. If you leave the remote, you can't get back in. It would have been good to have another remote. Some things to be aware of: This is a rural location, there are no shops near by and it's hard to get a taxi. You need a car. The roads are small and narrow, be careful. There is a gardener who comes daily to take care of the garden and clean the pool. We thought he would ring the bell and we would let him in, this isn't the case. He has his own key and lets himself in unannounced. We were a little startled the first day to find him suddenly in our backyard. We are early risers so this may not be an issue for everyone. For women who cover for religious reasons please note that a couple of neighbours overlook the pool area, we were still able to enjoy the pool but something to keep in mind. There are a couple of cats that call this villa home, they live on the verandah. This wasn't an issue for us but if you have allergies, there is really no way to keep them away. Finally, I was concerned by the lack of reviews for this property. However I discovered that when in Turkey, you cannot use booking.com to book properties in Turkey. I believe this is the main reason for the lack of reviews.
