We have stayed multiple times at Postman’s Cottage. The location near train station is an easy walk to downtown/seafront and the iconic Old Town (& Priory). The house is impeccably CLEAN and has all the conveniences you require. The washer and tumble dryer is so convenient for longer stays. The English Garden is a true oasis for reading or just relaxing to the birdsong. Ruth’s attention to detail and thoughtful touches are immediately apparent and much appreciated . . .& keep us returning yet again.

It was a beautiful cottage with everything you could ever need inside. Lovely treats left by the owner. Made us feel very welcome. Exceptionally clean and very cosy. Would recommend it to anyone.

I feel we got really lucky to find this little house. Arrival was easy and we got parked right outside. On entering, it felt just like coming into a home - welcoming, clean and really well decorated throughout. Everything we could've needed was provided, the layout was perfect for our needs. I love that there were real plants and even flowers <3 The sofas and beds are super-comfy and the dining area was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with nice quality cookware, and it was lovely to be able to compost and recycle properly too. We really appreciated the welcome gifts - nice treats for everyone. I especially enjoyed the conservatory and the little garden. We had amazing weather on our visit and it was nice to be able to sit in a shady spot in the afternoon and watch the bees and butterflies also enjoying the raft of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. My little one and I had great fun with the games too. Communications with the host were excellent from the start and my questions were answered quickly and warmly. We were really made to feel welcome. The house has such a "loved" atmosphere to it. Location wise I thought it might be a bit far from the beaches for a toddler, but it was actually much quicker and easier to get there than I expected, with and without the pushchair. As a bonus we got to watch the trains come through several times which was very exciting. There are a couple of nice playgrounds within walking distance and plenty of shops and cafes. We will be definitely looking to stay here again for our next visit.
