Are Tamareni River Studio

Very well situated. A long walk into town (Avarua) but not difficult. Two convenience stores not far. Right next door to Tamarind House, excellent restaurant and bar. Great facilities: all you need in the kitchen plus a washing machine. Loads of towels.

Limited sea view, but that didn't bother me.

The location, beach and space were all excellent. There was no one in the house, so it was very private. We loved having a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was good storage for our things. We also loved being next to the Ukulele bar and getting a discount at La Casita.

If there had been a family or people in the house crossing through to the beach could have been awkward. Some trimming of bushes trees to afford a better view of the beach would be great. The furniture on the porch was rusty and not very comfortable the table cloth on the outdoor table was filthy when we arrived and not very inviting to eat at. We found the water pressure to be very poor in the shower. The water jug could have been filled for our arrival and the soap at bathroom sink was empty. Also, the tv remote did not work and there was no way to increase the volume.

Apart from bathroom the place needs an overall makeover. Very tired and verandah in bad shape. Oven and toaster did not work. Our supposed car parking was blocked with concrete block so that was a sign not use. Had a hard time parking at Tamarind as very busy carport there. We had to cut our trip by 2 days short and I thought owner would keep me in the loop if she could rent those days. We were prepared to pay but never heard back.Cleaners came in 10am on morning we left so perhaps the owner had rented them out. Prob never know??
