Our stay was absolutely exceptional, with a stunning apartment that exceeded all our expectations in terms of quality and comfort. The connection with the hosts was incredible, as they were 100% available and made us feel truly welcome throughout our entire visit. Even when we accidentally broke a small item, they were so gracious and didn't even ask for reimbursement, which speaks volumes about their kindness. This was a perfect experience in every way, and we highly recommend staying here!

The location was brilliant. Sadly the property was the worst experience ever with rentals

Aircon and portable fan did not work in loft room. The toilet did not work. The pool was dirty and so full of chemicals we were asked not to use itbat checkin. The couch and curtains were disgustingly dirty and did not want to even attempt staying there due to first impressions and price. The owners offered to get the toilet fixed, but we wanted a full refund as the place was not as per pictures on website and the creepyness of the dirt was an issue. Owners first agreed and I booked additional accomodation, for owners then not to see the agreement through when logged with Booking.com. Unfortunately the owners hold all the cards in situations like this. Very poor display by owners and by Booking.com as ypu spend hours on calls and no resolution.

Conveniently located. Restaurants, shops and promenade we very close.

There is no cleaning service. The carpets were extremely untidy. In need of serious steam cleaning. One room has toilet and wash basin inside the bedroom. One shower was not functional. One day there was no water pumping into the toilet.

The place is beautiful,,kitchen is big ,kids where able to play and it’s very safe and close to everything, the host was very nice she would respond to any questions very fast

Location was fantastic. Private driveway was a plus. Hosts were responsive.

The house is pretty run down. The beds and couches are all old. The carpets are stained. The bathrooms were dirty upon arrival and I had to clean the showers. In addition, one toilet kept clogging and master shower did not drain properly. The owners should consider a major overhaul of the home, to include furniture. Also, one “bedroom” was actually an alcove with a foam mattress on top of wooden pallets. No one in our party could sleep on it. Lastly, for the size of the home there were not enough towels.

This is a lovely 150 year old heritage home which has been modernized. * Location - This is exceptionally well located, walking distance from the beautiful promenade by the beach, very near to super markets, petrol stations and variety of restaurants. Its very convenient to reach the main tourist destinations (V&A waterfront, Bo Kaap etc.) within 15 mins. The great thing is that its also very easy to drive down to Camp Bay and Hout Bay and the cape area as you avoid the Cape Town traffic. The drive to Hout Bay is spectacular. * Facilities - The living area is big and very functional. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and all appliances (dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator etc.). They also have a washing machine. However, be careful that most will not work if there is load shedding (upto 11 hrs a day). The sitting area was very cozy with sofas and we had a lovely time sitting there. * Bed rooms - The beds are comfortable and the blankets etc. are super cozy. We really enjoyed it since we were there during the winters. The master bedroom was spacious while the others are smaller, but functional. However, please read the dislikes to know more about the bedroom. * Other amenities - There is a small pool which we did not use (winter time) and a backyard with an open space / dining area for sitting. Really nice touch specially in summers. * Special mention goes to Colleen who is a wonderful neighbor, also acting as the host. She was there to greet us and help us get familiar with the house. She was also accessible for any help. * Wifi was good; the house has power backup for lights and basic essentials. The security is also good as it has an alarm system and also electronic door locks.

While this is a lovely home, I could recommend some changes which will make the stay exceptional. It is evident that this was someone's house, but for it to be functional as a rental place, it needs some tweaks. 1. Please add a door to the toilet of the main bedroom. Its very inconvenient specially if you are travelling in a group with children; we always had to close the bedroom door and ask everyone else to leave the room to use the toilet. There was no privacy at all. 2. The bedroom at the back is not functional at all. This has a bed, a commode and a bathing area in the same room with absolutely no partitions. Honestly, I have never seen a design like this before with a commode in a bedroom. We did not use this room at all, it was super weird. 3. The stairs to the attic bedroom has very thin steps, I could not put my full foot on it. This is an accident zone waiting to happen. 4. It would be really great to have some external heating source during winters. The house was extremely cold. In other places we stayed, the bedroom had external heaters.
