The house had everything you need. It was spacious and comfortable.
Fish smell in the fridge and freezer and cupbourds were not clean. Overall the house was clean. One of the bathrooms' shower was very slippery. The blinds in the bathrooms needs to be fixed and put back on. So just a bit of general maintenance and deep cleaning needed.

Our stay was absolutely exceptional, with a stunning apartment that exceeded all our expectations in terms of quality and comfort. The connection with the hosts was incredible, as they were 100% available and made us feel truly welcome throughout our entire visit. Even when we accidentally broke a small item, they were so gracious and didn't even ask for reimbursement, which speaks volumes about their kindness. This was a perfect experience in every way, and we highly recommend staying here!

The property is brilliant located for Cape Town. The onsite team were mostly helpful when we had a few queries.
The property needs some TLC. There's cracking in the walls, some of the plaster is peeling, some of the cupboard doors are broken, etc. Ultimately, it is quite rough around the edges. The pictures are accurate, but very glossed up.
It was also freezing cold on a winter's night and there are no heating facilities in the main living spaces. (The upstairs room did have heating). We did light a fire one night, but this takes a lot of time to get warm and isn't suitable when you want a friend to pop-in for a quick cup of tea.
One of the rooms is actually accessed through a semi-external door, it looks like it was an external room added onto the property. It also has a toilet inside the bedroom (with a small divider) which is a bit unusual.
The security setup is not well considered, the gate has a padlock which is fine, unless you need to get out in a hurry in which case you're trapped inside. The listing mentions an electronic front door which is no longer working as of August 2026.
