Nice apartment for a short stay but poor overall experience

Good location. Detailed instructions how to pick up the keys. Overall cleanliness.

It was extremely hot in the apartment. There is an AC but it is extremely noisy and you cannot use the AC, fan and washing machine at the same time without the fuse going off. Contacted the host about this but she couldn’t do anything. Just said to try one at a time (?!). So I had to find the fuse box on my on to turn on the lights and AC and get my clothes out of the washing machine. Left the fuse box open when I left the apartment and the host threatened me to contact Booking.com for that. Said I crossed the line. Overall communication of the host was very passive aggressive and didn’t really feel welcomed. The wifi password is incorrect in the instructions. Some dishes were not clean. There is no shampoo in the apartment, only cheapest possible body wash. Washing machine is next to shower and it’s using standard extension cord that is not waterproof = high safety risk if using both at the same time.

Nice little apartment hotel in the centre of Kotka.

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find. Picking up the keys was a breeze. We never met the owner of any of the staff but there was no need, we could do everything ourselves. The apartment was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, I slept very well.

Getting to the apartment in the first place requires climbing up at least one flight of stairs, there is no elevator reaching the ground floor. I opened the window in the evening to get some fresh air, and could not close it again. We could find coffee but no tea. The description I got said there would be both coffee and tea. There was only one very small bottle of shampoo in the shower. If I had known this in advance I would have brought my own shampoo. There was construction noise from the neighbourhood in the morning.

Facilities faced the price perfectly. Check-In was easy and flexible. Location is great - at the city centre, near from the services. Strongly recommended for example to group of 1-3 people looking for a place to stay over couple of nights.

The bed was little too "jumpy" for me, but it is also a matter of taste. Lighting in the kitchen was a little bit inadequate.

Luvattu autopaikka ei ollutkaan käytössä kun pysäköintilupa puuttui. Onneksi vieressä ilmaisia kadunvarsipaikkoja, mutta olisi kiva ollut jättää auto sisäpihalle. Omistajaan oli vaikeaa saada yhteyttä etukäteen, viesteihin ei vastattu booking.comin kautta, whatsappilla eikä tekstiviestillä kun vasta edellisenä päivänä, vaikka kysymys oli lähetetty 2 viikkoa aiemmin. Huoneistosta puuttui myös käsisaippua ja 2in1 shampoo, vaikka sellaiset luki kuvauksessa.

Asunto oli siisti ja rauhallinen. Sijainti oli aivan keskustassa. Hyvä sänky. Erittäin nopea wifi. Hyvät pysäköintimahdollisuuset. Iso jääkaappipakastin. Paljon kaappitilaa makuuhuoneessa. Kylpyhuoneessa pidee ja pesukone. Iso tv (toinen makuuhuoneessa).

Lienee edellisten asukkaiden syytä, että astiat täytyi tiskata ennen käyttöä. Astianpesukoneen puute ei ole itselle ongelma, mutta kaikki astiat olivat enemmän tai vähemmän huonosti pestyjä. Käsisaippua täytyi käydä ostamassa.

Hyvä, rauhallinen huoneistomajoitus keskustan tuntumassa

Siisti, rauhallinen majapaikka, riittävät keittiövarusteet ainakin lyhyen majoittumiseen tarpeisiin.

Auton pysäköintilupalappua ei ollut aiemmin sovitusta huolimatta, ja sitä koskevaan tiedusteluun vastattiin vasta seuraavana aamuna. (Onneksi pihaan pysäköinnistä ei sentään ehditty sakottaa…) Vessasta puuttui käsisaippua.
