The Coach House at Dovedale Manor

The accommodation was really nice loved being able to open up all the doors when the weather was so good. The area was amazing. Rooms were comfy with good facilities and were clean. Was nice and quiet and safe for the wee one. Would stay again.

Not really didn't likes but more to let the owner know. One of the showers didn't work. In another room the sink plug wouldn't let the water go and the bath plug wouldn't keep the water in. The underfloor heating temperature had been previously messed about with so was far too hot before managing to set it properly. The park could also do with some tlc.

Property all on one level with nice outlook and plenty of secure outdoor space

No user manual for guests on arrival and during stay despite requesting this. Lacking things like measuring jug and mixing bowl in kitchen.

Location was perfect and kitchen and living room was spacious

The interior could do with repainting as there's lots of scuff, marks, chipping paint throughout the house. It was also not homely. There were no decorations, painting, colour or warm atmosphere. It was too plain and clinical. And the bathrooms were lacking storage space and had no amenities. Also the floor boards are not fitted fully, they come up in areas. I also could get hold of the host before the holiday to ask some questions. I sent a couple of emails and tried calling. Thankfully I could get a hold of the cleaner whilst on holiday as the microwave didn't work. They kindly tried to help, but in the end bought us a cheap microwave to use.

Good facilities, albeit based on ‘just enough’ crockery, fridge & cupboard space etc.

The facilities at the Coach House were good. However, our family holiday, including our 14 month old granddaughter & 7 year old grandson, was spoiled by 2 sleepless nights, arising from the noise of the hen party next door. Absolutely no problem with the ladies enjoying themselves, our issue is with it not being made clear there may be noise from a large group in close proximity. We would not have booked this property had we known. It is disappointing and disingenuous that the information on the property makes no reference to the potential for excessive noise late into the evening/early morning. James
