Bamerhof Haus Steger

Bamerhof Haus is a beautifully crafted house high on the hillside above Mittersill. Everything about the house is quality with nice furnishings and quality kitchenware for self catering. The host welcomed us and quickly responded to our questions, even replacing the filter coffee machine when we couldn't get it going. Our view was to the rear of the house, but still very nice. The washing machine is shared with other residents but that wasn't a problem. Driving to Mittersill is easy, but you do need a car, as it would take a while to walk down the hill, and much longer to get back. Carpark at the house is great and supermarket and longer stay carparks are available for free in Mittersill. Staying more than 3 days means you receive a guestcard, which includes free public transport. It is great. We used the train twice to go to Zell on See and enjoyed superb lake swimming. We could have taken the bus to Krimml falls and saved the toll and carparking, but we arrived from that direction.We also did a day out taking a gondola high into the mountains ( not covered by guest card). A thoroughly enjoyable stay in quality accommodation. Thank you
