Apartamentos Martalia Arenal

The apartment is in a great location for exploring the region. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. Free parking is available right next to the building, which was very convenient. Communication with the property was excellent, and the staff were very responsive and helpful. The rooftop area with a swimming pool, terrace, and sun loungers was a great bonus. Everything was clean and well maintained, but I have two small suggestions that might help improve the experience for future guests. First, the pool rules were provided, but they did not mention pool floats. I think their use should be prohibited, as the pool is quite small and they take up a lot of space. I also noticed that some of the knives seem to be shedding small pieces from the blades, possibly because they are being washed in the dishwasher. I do not think this is the property’s fault, but perhaps a note asking guests to wash the knives by hand could help prevent this. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our time here.

Free parking in front of the building, good appliances and toiletries. You have to do everything by car or you'll walk quite a bit to get to the important areas of the city.

My experience was neutral, but almost bad, for two reasons: Point 1 - The process to receive the keys is extremely slow! It's like a slow hotel check-in. You have to scan all the passports, enter all the data for all the guests, on a bad touchscreen and scanner... It took a long time, of course it annoyed me. If you are arriving late or going during the winter, be prepared for this. It took me about 5 to 7 minutes to register all the guests and access the building. Point 2 - This is a property that makes the "mistake" (in quotes because I don't know if they do it on purpose) of having two types of floor plans, without making this absolutely clear to those who book. In the search results, you will see photos that clearly give you the impression of booking a property with a partitioned floor plan, with a bedroom, open-concept living room, and private bathroom. In the description, they list "Apartment with Terrace" and "Apartment with Mountain View." If you look at the tags you'll see "Private Bathroom" in both floor plan models. Upon arrival, you might have the unpleasant experience of being placed in a unit where everyone sleeps in the same room, without any separating walls or doors, and without direct sunlight inside the apartment. It's like a bunker... a window facing the hallway with no sun and a skylight in the ceiling. also without direct sunlight. If you plan to bring your mother-in-law or children, you risk spending your entire stay sharing the same space with them all the time. Forget about sex, farts, couple alignments, drying clothes, or the balcony (as they suggest in the tags). I suggested to the manager that they do something about it, and they replied that they won't. So stay alert guests! I'm leaving my account here so that another potential guest, with the same expectations as mine, doesn't feel the same way I did.
