Compton Grange

Loved the location, garden and house. Was very well equipped with everything we could need and was very comfy. A perfect base for exploring the island.

The oven was absolutely filthy. The outside windows needed cleaning. Lots of cobwebs inside. Found finger nail cuttings x 4 under the coffee table. Was left only a drizzle of washing up liquid (to last us 2 weeks). No cleaning products at all to clean kitchen worktops, hob of oven. Some saucepans were burnt and needed replacing. Stains on the seats of the sofas. Stripped the beds on departure and found stains on the mattress protectors (not caused by us). Cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

What a fantastic location, it is a beautiful house in picturesque surroundings. The house has everything you could want, the kitchen was so big but perfect for the 6 of us. The beds were very comfortable with fabulous views from every window. The bird life was great with an abundance of goldfinches in the trees by the secret garden, a lovely little robin hopped around and even a white tailed eagle flew overhead, plus many more. I wouldn't think twice about booking this fabulous house in the future.
